• A teaching mobility has to comprise a min. of 8 teaching hours per week.

• When teaching and training are combined during a single activity- minimum teaching hours are reduced to 4 hours per week.

Main Messages from Brussels

Work with non-traditional partners in Europe Nordic countries, Ireland/UK, Netherlands,

Eastern Europe.

Be involved in the drafting of the application by the European university (see quality

questions in application form).

Negotiate your Inter-institutional Agreement carefully Language requirements, student

support , Organizational support…

Split of tasks and responsibilities should be reflected in split of OS.

Problematic tax legislation in some countries

• HEIs, NAs and NEOs need to dialogue with tax authorities and relevant Ministries (e.g. in Poland new law on tax exemption is expected by the end of the year)

Make revisions to maximize the number of mobilities implemented (e.g.

substitute student to staff mobilities etc.)

Update your partners ASAP if you cannot realize your mobility grants.

Cooperate through shared platforms (e.g. joint staff weeks)

Maintain good communication with partners throughout project duration.

Build on successful staff mobility:

• Create active partners in the promotion on institutional internationalization

• Session with management to link activities to HEI strategy

Leverage student’s good experience:

• Assisting orientation periods for incoming students

• Encourage the creation of mobility outputs
