Print the Happy Father’s Day Activity page. Read each statement to your child and ask them to answer the statement. Don’t cheat!! Write on the line exactly what your child says to each statement. Have your child draw a picture on the right side of the page. Post your Father’s Day activity page on your Childrens Lighthouse school’s Facebook page so we can see their answers.

Watch: Crunch Munch Dinosaur Lunch. Print the Dinosaur Puzzles activity pages. With adult supervision, child can cut out the cards. For p. 1 cut into 2 cards. For p. 2 cut into 4 card. Have your child spread the cards on a table and match the dinosaurs by putting the puzzles together.

Color and Match Beginning Sounds

Color and Match Beginning Sounds activity page,

Print the Color and Match Beginning Sounds activity page. Have your child say the name of the item in the first box of each row, then color the picture from the row to the right that starts with the same sound.

Erupting Volcano Experiment

Plastic plate, baking soda, vinegar, red food coloring, cup, aluminum foil, tape,

scissors

Tape the bottom of a cup to the center of a paper plate and cover with aluminum foil. Supervising adult, cut a hole in the center of the foil and push the edges down into the cup. Spoon 1-2 teaspoons of baking soda into the cup. Then, pour in some vinegar colored with red food coloring and watch it erupt!

Dinosaur English and Spanish Words

Dinosaur English and Spanish Words activity page (2

Print 2 copies of the Dinosaur English and Spanish Words activity page. Use one page as a reference guide. Supervising adult, cut out the words on the second copy, making 8 separate cards. Lay the 8 cards on a table. Have/help your child match the English word to the Spanish word. Extension: Lay out just the English cards and see if your child can identify the word in Spanish. Lay out just the Spanish cards and see if your child can identify the word in English.

Dinosaur Coin Counting

Dinosaur Coin Counting activity page, coins (5

pennies, 2 nickels, 4 dimes, 3 quarters, 1 dollar bill)

Print the Dinosaur Coin Counting activity page. Lay the coins on a table, but maintain supervision so that coins are not swallowed. Discuss with your child(ren) the differences between each coin and how much they each represent. Have your child place the number and type of coins that matches the dinosaur egg on the card. For the dollar, you can place a dollar bill on the rectangle or produce different coin combinations that equal a dollar.
