Introduction
• There are a lot of literature and publications about the understanding of what is Open Innovation, what is not, about inside collaborative innovation, and about the benefits of implementing an open and collaborative innovation culture within corporations and enterprises.
• bluenove just realeased the first ever study about ‘Open Innovation in France’: Available online at: http://bit.ly/lVEn4O
• When it comes to knowing how to effectively implement an open and collaborative strategy there are also quite a lot of publications but related mostly to best practices from corporations sharing partially about some of the projects or programs they have delivered over time. I did not find a description of what could be an overall and consistent approach describing how to effectively implement, through what types of projects and methods, both an Open Innovation strategy and a more collaborative culture within the enterprise.

Problem solving
• A 1st stream is about Problem Solving within an Open Innovation need to call for external experts to help solve a problem.
• Its 2nd corresponding internal stream is about addressing a problem solving call to employees with the enterprise
• To look for external solvers, corporations may use support from companies such as Hypios, NineSigma or Innocentive
• On the internal side, we did not find example of companies launching a ‘call’ to solve a problem to all employees. Even though some idea contests are sometimes focusing on a specific area
