Pass Standard and any Special Requirements for Passing Module: 40% Students must attend, undertake and submit completed written work
for both of the practical sessions. Students not meeting this requirement will
be disbarred from the Formal Written Examination in the module and from
the Autumn Supplemental examination in the module. A student will be
notified when he/she has failed to fulfil the above criteria for one practical
session. Opportunities to repeat missed practicals will be offered on a
limited basis during the module semester only.

Lectures and Practicals You should attend all of your lectures (18 x 1hr ) - see
schedule for location.
You MUST attend all of your practicals (2 x) otherwise you will be disbarred from final exam in this module.

1. Check to see which day you have been allocated to for your practical classes (the allocation list for the practical classes will be on Blackboard this week).
2. Download the practical manual from Blackboard and bring it with you to the practical
3. Advanced preparation for your practical classes: Read the practical material before the class, and bring a lab coat to the practical
4. Make sure you know how to get to the Butler building prior to Monday 14th September 2014.

Absences If, for one of the reasons listed below, you are absent from a
practical class then an absence form must be completed and
returned to the Biological Earth and Environmental Sciences
(BEES) School office (located in the Enterprise Centre) with all
supporting documentation.

Exam preparation:
Throughout the course we will run through practice questions in preparation for your Multiple Choice Question Exams.

End of module (MCQ 1 hour 50 Qs ) exam on Thursday 22nd October (Evening). Details to follow, based on the content of lectures and practicals.
End of year exam (MCQ 1.5 hours 75 Qs) Winter 2015.
