Manila Batangas
MYTHS ABOUT BATANGAS• Existence of a trucking Mafia - none; any trucker from anywhere can ply
Batangas for as long as a permit-to-operate is secured; easy process – No containers/trucks have been burned to the ground, and nothing like this will ever happen
• Uncooperative BOC ; on the contrary, in BOC’s thrust to increase volumes, we have a Batangas BOC that is easily approachable and is “all-ears”
• Security issues / problems - none – Batangas has catered and continues to cater to high-value shipments; not once has there been a hijacking incident nor a security concern that has arisen
• Batangas as an “alternative” port – it is not an alternative port, the direction is for Batangas to be one of the main ports that would be an impetus for increased efficiency and improved productivity through “balance”
Improved Efficiency
