learn that they are capable of changing society- rather than only whites
Exposing Children to Different Races
Other ethnicities can identify with other races other than their own and become more open and accepting to these types of books
It is a learning process for those who aren't as exposed to different cultures
Being able to Identify with the Cover
When you feel sympathy/empathy for the person on the cover, you don’t think about what race they are or how they are different than you
Allows reader to connect to Book before Reading it
