Over the past 20 years, we’ve built up an amazing group of players, committee members, and sponsors through the WME Tennis Classic. The action and excitement of the sport certainly takes center court at the annual tradition, but the real heart of the event lies in the good work it supports in our community. Last year we set out in search of a new beneficiary, and we quickly found inspiration right in our own backyard. We were inspired by two parents, Jo Ann and Jeff, who survived unimaginable heartache when they lost their child Pablo to pediatric cancer at the age of six. They carried on with a message of stunning hope by starting The Pablove Foundation, which served up the perfect match for our 2015 event to raise money for their mission to fight childhood cancer with love. We all felt an instant connection to the amazing work that The Pablove Foundation is doing. And, after hearing more about the groundbreaking research they are funding through their Childhood Cancer Research Grants, the connections they are making between families and medical professionals during their annual Childhood Cancer Symposiums, and the joy they bring to children through their Pablove Shutterbugs photography program, we were sold! We are thrilled to officially announce the 1st Annual Pablove Tennis Classic presented by WME set for Sunday, May 17, 2015 at the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center. It will be a day full of fun and fitness and we will have divisions for all levels of experience. So, grab your racquets, bring your doubles partner, and help us to continue fighting childhood cancer… with (pab)love. We look forward to seeing you there!

Jeff CastelazCo-Founder and

Chairman of the Board

Jeff is Pablo’s Papa, and the co-founder of The Pablove Foundation. Jeff is President of Warner Music Group’s Elektra Records, a label founded in 1950 that has been home to The Doors, Metallica, The Cure, and hundreds of other acts. Elektra is currently home to a dozen artists, including Fitz and the Tantrums and Ed Sheeran. Through his company Cast Management - founded in 1990 - Jeff manages Dropkick Murphys and record producers Tony Hoffer and Justin Meldal-Johnsen. He is from Milwaukee and attended Milwaukee Trade and Technical High School and Marquette University.

Jo Ann ThrailkillCo-Founder andPresident/CEO

Jo Ann is Pablo’s Mommy, and the co-founder of The Pablove Foundation. For the 15 years prior to Pablove’s inception, she was an Executive Producer in the music video and television commercial industry, guiding a roster of directors through hundreds of jobs with bands, record labels, and ad agencies. She produced many award-winning music videos, including the Grammy award-winning ‘Learn To Fly’ by Foo Fighters. Jo Ann grew up in the heart of New Orleans and attended Louisiana State University.

Join us for a day of non-stop doubles tennis action and fun. Even a score of love-allwins when you are fighting childhood cancer with love with The Pablove Foundation!

Registration + Warm-Ups: 10 a.m.Tournament Start: 11 a.m.$200 per individual entry

Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center

Built in 1969 as a private club, the Tennis and Swim Center was purchased in 1994 by the City of Calabasas. Nestled by the Calabasas Lake, the grounds are surrounded by beautiful oaks over a century old. The Center has been referred to as the “crown jewel” of the city for the many programs and amenities it offers to the community.
