PAD PARIS 2020 STUDIO PAD
This year, the decor of Studio PAD is designed by the duo of interior designers, Oitoemponto who decided to create a bar.
Studio PAD pays a tribute to the 70’s French films. Conceived as a glamorous lounge with rounded walls and an immaculate white carpet, the bar adds a touch of fashion. In a black and white decor, the plants and Rio de Janeiro rosewood reflect the Brazilian exuberance from the 70’s, as a journey into a fabulous and inspirational atmosphere.
The lineup of the library, fireplace, lounge and bar, Harvey Probber’s sofa, Pierre Paulin’s bench, Paul Rudolph or Paul Tuttle’s chair, plunge us into an authentic movie set. The final touch, a large panel by Michel Deverne and an abstract photograph by Waled Beshty on the walls, will captivate the vistor’s eyes.
Oitoemponto’s story is an almost ideal success story, founded in 1993 from the perfect alchimy between two very different, but formidably complementary personnalities. Artur Miranda and Jacques Bec, based in Porto work all over the world.

The interior designer Sandra Benhamou is in charge of the design of the ELLE DECO café.To mount the occasion of the 24th edition of the PAD Paris, the pop-up restaurant of the show has been entrusted to Sandra Benhamou. A canvas tent provides a haven of peace, to disconnect for a few moments from shopping. Fairy-tale, the imaginary city of the sky blue patterns of Jennifer Shorto wallpaper surrounds the garden lined with large terracotta jars, orange and lemon trees. All around, linen-covered rattan tables and wooden chairs are mixed with coffee tables and benches made of Dedar and Jennifer Shorto fabric that sit in the centre of the room. The bar on the side, designed as a playful composition, is covered with teak and burlap.
The interior designer Sandra Benhamou founded her agency in Paris in 2010. She imagines interiors where contemporary art and design and vintage furniture are mixed together. As a collector and an art market expert, her eye leads her to put the works in tension, with curiosity and accuracy, fleeing the museum. Whether for public or residential projects Sandra Benhamou imagines with rigour and exigency high-end environment, punctuated by femininity, where light plays a leading role. She breaks codes with an uncomplicated instinct, likes contrasting sets of materials and draws its inspiration from history to reveal the aura of a place.
