Mercer County Acting Sheriff Jack Kemler announces the arrest of Mercer County fugitive
Sherief Treadwell, a four-star general of the Gansta Killa Bloods, in Falls Township, Pa., after
failing to appear for pre-arraignment conference on charges of attempted murder and weapons
possession, and sentencing in relation to possession of CDS..
On Monday, July 11, 2011, members of the United States Marshals Service NY/NJ Regional
Fugitive Task Force, and Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Falls Township
Police, arrested Mercer County fugitive Sherief Treadwell of Trenton, NJ. Treadwell (DOB/
6-6-1986), aka “Whiteboy” and a self-admitted four-star general of the Gangsta Killer Bloods street
gang, had been wanted since June 24, 2011, on two Mercer County Superior Court warrants for
failing to appear for pre-arraignment conference on charges of attempted murder and weapons
possession, and sentencing in relation to possession of CDS. Treadwell was considered armed
and dangerous due to numerous arrests for gun possession, which included possession of an
AK-47 assault rifle and MAC-11 machine gun.
Investigation by Sheriff’s detectives and task force officers revealed Treadwell had fled New
Jersey and was moving between two apartments in Falls Township, Pa. The apartments were
identified as belonging to Treadwell’s girlfriend, and the other belonging to Treadwell and his
mother.
An attempt to locate Treadwell at the girlfriend’s apartment was unsuccessful, but success
was found at the second apartment. With the assistance of Treadwell’s mother in negotiating a
peaceful surrender, and a request for the activation of the Falls Township SWAT team, Treadwell
finally emerged from the apartment after about an hour and was taken into custody without
incident.
In announcing the arrest, Sheriff Kemler stated, “I can’t stress enough what our partnership
with the US Marshal’s Service means to not only our agency, but to the law enforcement
community as a whole. The resources available to us has given my detectives the ability to track
down and remove another violent criminal from the streets in a very expedient manner,”
Treadwell was transported to the Falls Township Police Department, where he was charged
as a Fugitive of Justice and then brought before Falls District Judge, Jan Vislosky, who ordered
Treadwell be held in the Bucks County Jail in lieu of $10 million bail while he awaits extradition to
New Jersey.
