Welcome to the 2016 Auction Stampede!

Thank you for attending this wonderful event. As a member of the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of East County and Auc-tion Chair (aka Trail Boss) I want you to know how much I appreciate your support of our organization and the goals we have set to provide safe and fun environments for the children in our East County commu-nities.

My “wranglers” and I hope you enjoy your evening and the wonderful items we have rounded up. Please raise your hands and make a bid for the safest investment in town, our children and their futures.

Thank you!

Harold Hilliker Tonight we would like to dedicate the Auction Stampede to Harold Hilliker. He was a chicken rancher with the manners of a country gentleman. Harold had a passion for children and became a hard-working and dedicated school board member, but it didn’t end there.

Fifteen years ago, Harold thought about joining the Boys & Girls Clubs Board of Directors. He was very hesitant, not because it wasn’t the right cause, but simply because he wanted to do a “good” job. He did not want to take on a commitment unless he could fulfill it.

In the years that followed, Harold certainly fulfilled his commitment to the kids at the Boys & Girls Clubs, and a whole lot more.

He loved his family and his ranch. He loved his Lakeside Community and the kids that live here. There will only be one Harold Hilliker. And our fond memories of him will last a lifetime.

Member of the Board of Directors: 1995-2009

Member of the Lakeside Clubhouse Capital Campaign

Exuberant member of the Auction Committee 2000-2009

Generous contributor to the Santee Capital Campaign

Supporter of the East County Children’s Ball

Golf Day Volunteer

Lakeside Community Mentor

True friend of the community, its children and its future!
