    Description

    PRFILE parameter controllable workarounds are implemented to the RNC. This can be activated/deactivated for PS and CS service.If activated for CS, the RNC will do blind IFHO for AMR RAB in Cell_DCH state in two stages:

    1. IFHO using Physical Channel Reconfiguration, Transport Channel Reconfiguration or Radio Bearer Reconfiguration procedure.

    2. RB setup.If activated for PS, the RNC will do blind IFHO for PS RAB in Cell_DCH state in two stages:

    1. IFHO using Physical Channel Reconfiguration, Transport Channel Reconfiguration or Radio Bearer Reconfiguration procedure.

    2. RB setup.

    It is also possible to prevent (with Bit4) a blind IFHO for R99 capable UEs in PS NRT RAB setup.The following list of default and possible values:

    Default value of this parameter is 0H. With this value the workaround is disabled.

    To activate CS workaround, the values of Bit0 and Bit3 need to be set to 1.

    To activate PS workaround, the value of Bit1 needs to be set to 1.

    To activate both CS and PS workarounds, the values of Bit0, Bit1, and Bit3 need to be set to 1.

    To activate the prevention for blind IFHO for R99 capable UEs in PS NRT RAB setup, the value of Bit4 needs to be set to 1.

    To ensure that with PS workaround the same transport channel which is used in the source cell is kept in the target cell, the value of Bit5, needs to be set to 1.

    To ensure that with PS workaround, if the source cell RSCP is good enough, the 2 ms TTI allocation for E-DCH in the target cell is possible in RB setup, the value of Bit6, ne
