Dear Parents/Carers,

On Friday 3rd March 2017 we will be celebrating World Book Day. At Khalsa Science Academy we are all going to take part in this special day, to celebrate the joy of books and reading.

We will be celebrating the children’s successes and they will be taking part in a range of different activities to promote this.

We are asking for the children to come to school dressed as their favourite book characters. There are so many to choose from! In school we have looked at many books from many different authors. (Roald Dahl, Anthony Browne, Shirley Hughes, just to name a few) We are looking forward to seeing lots of interesting and original costumes.

Each child will receive a World Book Day £1 token, which can be redeemed from a range of book shops.
