A major function related to World Veterinary Day was conducted at conference hall of the college with theme: The role of veterinary profession in sustainable development to improve livlihood, food security & safety. Dean Dr. C.S. Sharma in his welcome address discussed the importance of World Veterinary Day and pointed that without the help of veterinarian livestock cannot survive and A.H. cannot develop. This Shri Dulhe Ram Meena, Working Trustee, AAMGT who talked regarding help extended by veterinarians in prevention, treatment of animal disease. He extended good wishes to all staff, students of this college and also announced prize of Rs. Five lakh for students securing 1 st , position in university examination. Dr. G.K.Sinha, Technical Advisor stressed the importance of the day and expressed importance of livestock economy, food security and safety by controlling animal disease control through vaccination, deworming, good management and treatment. There is need to develop Dairy units consisting of 20-25 cows/buffalo at village level to increase milk production & economy of the farmer. He highlighted importance of tick control in livestock. WORLD VETERINARY DAY-28 th APRIL-2018

Apollo College of Veterinary Medicine, Jaipur celebrated World Veterinary Day by organizing animal disease control programme by free vaccination, deworming and treatment at veterinary clinical complex.

Sharma, Dr.V.S. Panchbhai, Professor & Head, Department of VCC also talked about importance of Veterinary surgery Dr.R.K. Mishra, Canine Specialist described importance of vets in canine management and disease control and said that life without veterinarian has no meaning for pet and animal owners. 1st year students Archita Mehra and Tanu Sharma referred Nakul & sahdeo
