environmental groups hailed the decision,
the House Committee on Natural Re-
sources said the Obama administration
has dangerous priorities. The Obama
administration drove Shell out of the Arc-
tic with regulatory hell that went on foryears, then used this victory for big spe-
cial interest groups to stop any hope for
future energy development in the Arctic.
Once again, Obama is playing directly
into Russias hands.
The Department of Justice has created a
Domestic Terrorism division. This is
being done after the DOJ previously la-
beled Libertarians, Conservatives and
Constitutionalists as militia-inspired
domestic extremists.
A fter a 15-year period with theDemocrats not focusing on theissue of guns in presidential politics,
they are now talking about the issue.
They say support for new gun laws is
broader now and the politics of the
issue has shifted enough to make the
push for the measure a political win-
ner, even if there remains almost no
chance for success in Congress. Re-
publicans say that they are eager for
the Democrats to test the theory.
Newly releases federal data shows
that taxpayers have paid out a record
$3.25 trillion in taxes during fiscal
year 2015, but the government still
ran a massive deficit during that
time. The taxes that came in
marked an 8% increase and was the
highest amount on record. The totalwas $228 billion over the total re-
ceipts for fiscal year 2014. Most of
this tax money came from individu-
als. FYI the U.S. debt limit will
run out on November 3rd two days
sooner than was anticipated.
The Interior Department has an-
nounced a freeze on oil and gas drill-
ing in the Arctic Ocean off Alaska
until 2017. They said they were can-
celling future lease sales and will
not expand current leases. While

The Princess Anne Republican
Womens Club was formed in 1989 to ac-
commodate working women, as well as
those who preferred an evening meet-
ing. The original club applied to the Virgin-
ia Federation of Republican Women for ourcharter with twelve members and met
at the Life Federal Savings and Loan build-
ing on Laskin Road.
Jean Ford (deceased) served as the first
president and has been followed by many
capable leaders.
The PARWC has tripled in membership,
small in comparison to many clubs, but we
boast that we have one of the most active
clubs with members attending every meet-
ing and participating in our activities. Our
program emphasis is on political education.
Over the years, we have held a number of
fund raising events, most notable our annu-
al sale of the White House Historical Socie-
ty Christmas ornaments. Our largest fund
raiser is the Star Spangled Ball which is
jointly sponsored by the four Virginia
Beach Republican Womens Clubs. Two
thousand fifteen is the 26th Star Spangled
Ball. The monies earned are divided equal-
ly among the clubs and are earmarked to
support our Republican candidates.
VFRW-
Republican women are the backbone for Republican
party campaigns. Involved in many levels from letter stuff-ing to phone banks to writing opinion/policy pieces to run-
ning for office. Our goal is to provide the opportunity for
women from all age groups and walks of life to actively
participate in the political arena on national, state and lo-
cal issues. We promote political awareness and recruit
qualified candidates. We encourage women to assume lead-
ership roles in government, the Republican Party, and
in the community as policy planners, decision makers,
and potential candidates. Virginia is the 6th largest feder-
ation in the National Federation of Republican Women,
Current President is Linda Barlett
