Further, Railway remarks on RDSO final speed certificate MWIAutorack, dated 11.04.2013 is as under

for kind perusal:

Railway Remarks Para Para of RDSO Speed Certificate

No The BG Bogie Covered Autocar Modified Wagon type BCACM to Noted.

Drawing No. WD-07056-S-01 All.1 has been developed by RDSO

by modifying the existing container flat wagons (BLCA and BLCB

wagons) for transportation of automobile cars by rail. A rake of

these wagons consists of 9 units. Each unit consists of 5 wagons-

2 nos wagon 'A' & 3 nos. wagon 'B. Both A & B wagons are

double decker wagons. Wagon 'A' has non- transition CBC at one

end & slack less draw bar at the other end, whereas wagon B'

has slack less draw bar at both ends. The coupler height at the

front and rear end of each unit is standard i.e. 1090 mm for

compatibility with standard height of couplers of locomotives.

Each unit shall be moved as one entity and movement of wagon

'A'wagon 'B' alone shall not be done. The design incorporates

LCCF-20 (C) bogie with a speed potential of 100 kmph and single

pipe graduated release air brake system with automatic load

sensing device.

1.1 To assess the speed potential of BG Bogie Covered Autocar Noted.

Modified Wagon type BCACM has been subjected to detailed oscillation trials. The test result of trials is contained in RDSO

report No. MT 1031/F Rev. 0 dated 30.04.2010, Amendment Nil. The results indicate that BCACM Car A/Car B wagon has

exhibited satisfactory riding and stability characteristics up to a

maximum test speed of 110 kmph both in empty and loaded

condition on the track maintained to other than C&M

Volume standard on tangent track, station yard and 2

degree cunve over Ambala - Chandigarh section of Ambala

division in Northem Railway. Based on the satisfactory test of oscllation trial as contained in Noted.

the report, it is certfied that BCACM Car A / Car B wagon may be permitted to run up to a maximum speed of 100 Kmph both

in empty and loaded condition subject to the observance of the following conditions.
