3/4Z and 3S work

Students from 3/4Z and 3S visited me this week to show me their amazing work. It was wonderful to see their

proud faces and the work they have created. Keep being amazing everyone!

Sport

Our zone cross country participants all went wonderfully. Mrs Zimmermann and Mrs Bunny commented on the

amazing behaviour and personal best all students showed on the day. Great work!

Have a great fortnight.

GRIP Leadership Conference

On Monday 3rd May, 8 of our Student Executive travelled to Newcastle to attend the GRIP Leadership Conference.

Throughout the day, students participated in activities and engaged with inspirational speakers about what is

involved in becoming a leader. The conference concentrates specifically on training student leaders for their role as

school leader. The style, topics, and content of this conference all focus on what the students can do for their

school to make an impact. All Tomaree Public School representatives displayed our school values and had a

wonderful day collaborating with local schools.

Sport Report

Cross Country: Well done to all the students that competed in last week’s Zone Cross Country held at Lakeside. Mrs

Bunny and Mrs Zimmermann were very proud of the fantastic sportsmanship we saw from all of the Tomaree

students on the day.

Good luck to Lokie Schmarr, McKenzie Ryan, Angus Attard, Mikaylah Clark and Maebel Colley who will now travel

to Hunter Cross Country. Good luck!

Congratulations: Last week Will Doherty travelled to Byron Bay to compete in the PSSA State AFL championships.

The Hunter Wolves had a terrific tournament finishing 8th overall. The best result in 20 years!! Congratulations

Will!

Mother’s Day stall! It was so exciting to finally be able to hold a Mother’s Day stall and have students select

their own special gift, after Covid halted usual plans for both Mother’s and Father’s Day

last year!

Thank you to all the families that supported the stall and we hope all the mums and

grandmothers loved the gift that was chosen for them. The children put so much

thought and consideration into their selection!

A huge thank you to the amazing mums who gave up their own time to help out setting

up and serving all the children.

Canteen news This term we have trialled Sushi Wednesday. It has been a huge hit and Sushi

Wednesday will continue for the rest of the term. There are only limited serves

available, so get in quick each week to order. Options may vary from week to

week and we will continue to try to expand the range to meet requests, so follow

the updates on our FB page “Tomaree Public School Community Page” to hear the

latest.

There are also a range of new items we have introduced as part of our winter menu. What have you tried so far!

✓ Ravioli Napolitana ✓ Spinach and ricotta rolls ✓ Cheesy Mite scrolls ✓ Cheese and Bacon rolls ✓ Blueberry and Apple & Cinnamon Muffins

An updated menu will be sent home to all students next week. All available canteen items are now listed on Flexischools also, so try something new today!

Thanks,

P&C Committee
