HABITATThe leafy sea dragon is only found in Southern Australian waters from Wilson's promontory in Victoria at the eastern end of its

range westward to juries bay, 220km (140mi) North of Perth in Western Australia. It was once thought

that individuals had very restricted ranges; However, further research has discovered that sea dragon will

actually travel several hundred meters habituals locations returning to the same spot using a strong sense of direction. They

are mostly found over sand patches in water up to 50 meters (164 feet) deep, around kelp-covered rocks and clumps of sea grass.

They are commonly sighted by scuba divers near South Australia.

DIETAll family syngnathiformes members are tube-snouted fishes

that have a uniquely structured tubular jaw that opens rapidly to suck in prey, witch consists of shrimp -like my sides and other

small crustation plankton organisoms. The leafy sea dragon refuses to eat creatures with teeth they can not eat them anyways, there jaws are as fragile as paper if they ate the

creatures teeth they would make this howling noise and twirl around until it stops but the thing is that it won't stop that's

why they haft to be careful.
