AI-Fatiha or "The Opening" is the first of the 114 chapters of The Noble Qur'an.

The translation of the meanings

of this short chapter is as follows:

In the Name of Allah, The Compassionate, The Merciful

All praise is to Allah,

The Lord of the Worlds

The Compassionate, The Merciful

Master of the Day of Judgment

You Alone we worship and

You Alone we call on for help

Guide us to The Straight Way

The Way of those whom You have favoured; not of those who have earned Your wrath, or of those who have lost The Way.

This was the first complete chapter

revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

It is the first chapter memorized by a Muslim.

Its recitation is compulsory in every raka' of the prayer. It is recited seventeen times

daily in the five obligatory prayers.

Al-Fatiha ili "Pristup" je prvi

od 114 odjeljaka Plemenitog Kur'ana

Prijevod značenja ovog kratkog odjeljka je kako slijedi:

U ime Allaha,

Milostivog, Samilosnog

Sva hvala Allahu, Gospodaru Svjetova

Milostivom, Samilosnom

Gospodaru Sudnjeg Dana

Tebi se Jedinome klanjamo i

Tebe Jedinog molimo za pomoć

Povedi nas na Pravi Put

Put onih koje Si povlastio; ne onih

koji su zaslužili Tvoj gnjev ili onih koji su izgubili Put.

Ovo je prvi cjeloviti odjeljak

objavljen Poslaniku Muhamedu (s.a.w.s.).

Ovo je prvi odjeljak zapamćen od Muslimana.

Izgovoriti ga obvezno je ***in every raka'***

molitve. Uči se 17 puta dnevno u 5 obaveznih molitava.

The Almighty divides this chapter into two parts:

"The first part is for Me [when the slave praises His Lord] and the rest is for My slave who shall receive what he asks."

AI-Fatiha is a prayer of the Believer.

The Believer acknowledges

the sovereignty of Allah over all things.

He pledges his obedience to Allah as The only One that he worships.

The Believer seek Allah's guidance

to live in The Straight Way. The chapter begins with the invocation

of the name of Allah The Merciful.

This lays the foundation as the Believers are encouraged to start every act by

invoking the name of Allah so that they will develop the habit of reflecting on

the righteousness of their actions at the point they are about to start them.

In the next verse, the Believer says,

"All praise is due to Allah."

This helps to prevent the Believer from becoming arrogant by believing that his success is the result of his cleverness.

All things happen only by the Rahma or

Mercy of Allah. The Believer acknowledges this Truth when he says, "Alhamdulillah."

The Rahma includes giving human beings

free will either to be part of this Divine Mercy or follow their ways.

Human beings will therefore have to accept responsibility for all their actions and they will be judged accordingly on The Day of

Judgment by their Lord (Rabb).

Those who obey Allah's commands will be rewarded. From this recognition flows

gratitude and the desire to please Allah

The Merciful as the only One the Believer

will worship and turn to for everything.

The Believer makes this pledge not only for himself but also on behalf of all created

things as Man is Allah's khalifor} Earth [2:30]:

You Alone we worship, You Alone we call on for help.

Al-Fatiha je molitva vjernika.

Vjernik priznaje

vladavinu Allaha nad svime.

On se obavezuje na pokornost Allahu kao Jedinome kome se klanja.

Vjernik traži da ga Allah vodi

da živi na ispravan način.

Odjeljak počinje zazivanjem imena Allaha Milostivog.

To postavlja osnovu kojom su vjernici potaknuti da svako djelovanje počnu zazivajući ime Allaha tako da će oni

razviti naviku da misle na čestitost svojih akcija već

kad ih započinju.

U sljedećem stihu, vjernik kaže "Sva hvala je za Allaha."

Ovo pomaže da vjernik

ne postane arogantan vjerujući da je njegov uspjeh rezultat njegove pameti.

Sve se događa jedino iz Rahma, tj. Milosti Allaha. Vjernik priznaje

ovu istinu kada kaže, "Alhamdulillah."

Rahma također ljudima daje slobodnu volju da budu dio ove

Božanske Milosti, ili pak da idu svojim putevima.

Ljudi će zato morati prihvatiti odgovornost za svako svoje djelovanje i na Sudnji Dan

njihov će im Gospodar (Rabb) prema njima suditi.

Oni koji se pokore Allahovim zapovijedima bit će nagrađeni. Iz ovog prihvaćanja proističe

zahvalnost i želja da se udovolji Allahu Milostivom kao jedinom kojeg će vjernik

štovati i kome će se za sve obratiti.

Vjernik se na to zavjetuje ne samo za samoga sebe, nego i u ime svega stvorenog jer Čovjek je Allahova khalifor} Zemlja [2:30]:

Tebe Jedinoga slavimo,

Tebe Jedinoga zovemo za pomoć.

In the prayer to The Almighty to show us The Straight Way, the Believer pleads for

guidance through human models.

The Believer prays for examples of those favoured by The Lord and are therefore in

The Straight Way, as well as examples of those who have earned His anger

or have lost The Way.

Allah The Merciful places the whole of The Noble Qur'an before the Believer in answer to this prayer, as if to say,

"This is My guidance to you."

The Prophets (peace be upon them), the Truthful, the Martyrs and the Righteous

are favoured by Allah. [4:69]

Those who "disobeyed and exceeded all limits" [2:61] set by The Lord are

the models to be avoided.

The Qur'an describes Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as the "Best Model" [33:21]

for everyone to follow.

The Qur'an describes the Prophet (pbuh) as "a mercy for all the worlds." [21:107]

The Qur'an commands the Believers

"t-o obey The Lord and obey His Messenger." [64:12]

Those who accept and follow the

confirmed traditions of Allah's final Messenger are in The Straight Way.

AI-Fatiha is a miniature portrayal of

Islamic beliefs and values. The rest of The Noble Qur'an is an elaboration.

U molitvi Svemogućem da nam pokaže Pravi Put, vjernik moli za

vodstvo kroz ljudske uzore.

Vjernik moli za primjere onih kojima je Gospodar sklon i zato su na

Pravom Putu, kao i za primjere onih koji su zaslužili Njegov gnjev

ili su izgubili Put.

Allah Milostivi stavlja cjeloviti Plemeniti Kur'an pred vjernika

odgovarajući na tu molitvu, da bi rekao "Ovo vam je Moj vodič."

Poslanici (mir bio njima),

Istinoljubivi, Mučenici i Pravedni dragi su Allahu. [4:69]

One koji "se nisu povinovali i prešli su sve granice" [2:61] Gospodar je stavio

kao modele koje treba izbjegavati.

Kur'an prikazuje Poslanika Muhameda (s.a.w.s.) kao "Najbolji Model" [33:21]

svakome da ga slijedi.

Kur'an opisuje Poslanika(s.a.w.s.) kao "milost svim svjetovima." [21:107]

Kur'an zapovijeda vjernicima

"pokoravati se Gospodaru i Njegovom Poslaniku." [64:12]

Oni koji prihvate i slijede

potvrđene tradicije Allahovog posljednjeg Poslanika na Pravom su Putu.
