time of the Varsity Boys Basketball Game.

Judges’ Choice The Judges’ Choice award will go to the team that is voted on by our panel of judges. Each chili will be judged anonymously in five areas: taste, consistency, aroma, color, and bite!

People’s Choice The People’s Choice award will go the team that receives the most votes by the chili cook-off guests. This could be for creativity as well as taste.

Team Spirit The Team Spirit award will go to the team that receives the most votes for creativity, table decorations, team name, and overall team spirit during the chili cook-off.

Team Sign-Up To enter your team for the

chili cook-off, please fill out a team registration form and

return it with payment to the school office by Friday,

December 9th, 2016.

CHCA Chili Cook-Off 2017

Come one, come all for the inaugural Cottage Hill Christian Academy Chili Cook-Off! The Junior Class will be hosting a Chili Cook-Off as a fundraiser for this year’s Junior Senior Prom. 10% of all proceeds will go to support the American Cancer Society. You do not want to miss this great event!

Admission to the event is free and you can buy tickets to taste for 25¢ each. There will also be drinks, snacks, and desserts on sale to finish off your dinner for the evening. The Chili Cook-Off will take place on Tuesday, January 10th during our three home basketball games. Plan to bring your family to watch the game, eat some chili, and enjoy this fun family-friendly atmosphere. We hope to see you there!

The CHCA Chili Cook-Off is open to all members of the school, church, and the community who would like to enter a team. The deadline to enter a team is Friday, December 9th, 2016. Your team can have as many members as you would like, but you must cook at least 7 quarts of chili. The team entry fee is $50, but check out our sponsorship levels for more information on how your business can get involved.

This year we are asking that you make a “Homestyle Chili” which can be described as the cook’s favorite combination of ingredients resulting in a dish seasoned with chili peppers and spices. There will be no restriction or requirement as to the ingredients, but the chili must be homemade.

Each team will have a chance to win a number of prizes. So don’t forget to sign up your team for this great event! See the back for details on signing up your team.
