The 182nd

Meeting of the Eastern Regional Committee (ERC), National Council for Teacher

Education (NCTE) was convened on 25th

-26th

February, 2015 at Conference Hall, ERC, NCTE,

15, Neelakantha Nagar, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar. The Chairperson, Members and Convener as listed below

were present at the time of the 182nd

ERC Meeting.

At the outset, the Regional Director welcomed all the members of Committee and apprised them

about the provisions of the NCTE Act, Rules, Regulations and Guidelines issued from time to time. With the

permission of Chairperson, Shri Chandrapida Neelap (Convener) presented the Agenda before the Committee

for its due consideration and appropriate decision.

Corrigendum: While confirming the meeting, it is pointed out that the

decision taken for the following cases / institutions were not appropriate. The

Committee verified the document again and decided to issue corrigendum in

the following manner.

1. Sl.No.60, Point No.181.5.12, Swami Vivekananda Primary Teacher

Training Institute, Murshidabad, West Bengal (Code No.ERCAPP1553):

in place of Letter of intent u/c 7(13) of the NCTE Regulation 2014 be

issued for two units may be read as one unit.

2. Sl.No.65, Point No.181.6.28, Madhepura College, Madhepura, Bihar

(Code No.ERCAPP1396):

In place of Formal Recognition order under clause 7(16) of the NCTE

Regulation 2014 for applied course B.Ed. with an intake of 50

(one basic unit) from the academic session 2015-2016 may be issued to

the institution .

To be read as Formal Recognition order under clause 7(16) of the NCTE

Regulation 2014 for applied course B.Ed. with an intake of 100

(two basic unit) from the academic session 2015-2016 may be issued to

the institution .

3. Sl.No.110, Point No.181.12(ii).1, DIET Lakhimpur Azad, Lakhimpur,

The institution be requested to submit the faculty list as per New

Regulation 2014.

ATTENTION!

The committee unanimously decided that the institution may reply in response to

the decision of the committee uploaded on the ERC website without waiting

formal letters from the office of ERC. The replies so received will also be

considered by the committee.

1. The institution whose applications are pending and reached to the stage of 7(9)

[7(13) as per New Regulation] including the institution already submitted the

reply of 7(13) prior to publication/implementation of NCTE Regulations 2014

are advised to submit/re-submit their reply as per New Regulations along with

other required documents at the earliest to enable to ERC to take appropriate

decision.

2. The cut-off date for grant of recognition is 3rd

March 2015 for the session 2015-

16. Institution are personally responsible if they lose the session due to non-

submission or late submission of replies.

3. The institutions which have not submitted the balance amount

of Rs.4.00 Lacs towards Reserve Fund expected to submit the same.

4. The institution need to submit list of 10 schools for internship and school

based activities duly approved by District Education Officer.

5. Institutions must give the affidavit for consent / willingness for

number of units either one or two if it was not submitted earlier.

6. The institution must go through the Regulations 2014 about the number of

teachers and accordingly they must send the list duly Countersigned by the

Concerned University /Affiliating Body.

7. The institution shall comply with the additional facilities required

(additional built-up area, additional staff, additional funds etc)

for the SECOND UNIT as prescribed in NCTE (Recognition Norms and

Procedure) Regulations 2014 before 31.10.2015.

Letter of intent u/c 7(13) of the NCTE Regulation 2014 be issued for one unit. The institution also be asked

to submit the faculty position in accordance to the NCTE Regulation 2014 for the D.El.Ed. course duly

countersigned by the Secretary of the affiliating body along with affidavit and willingness for required units

of the proposed course as per New Regulation 2014.

(i) The institution has to submit the balance amount of Rs.4 lakhs towards Reserve fund with conversion

in joint name i.e. name of the institution and Regional Director, ERC, NCTE, Bhubaneswar as per

New Regulation 2014.

(ii) The institution needs to submit list of 10 schools for internship and school based activities along with

the reply of 7(13) duly approved by District Education Officer.
