Water Detector CordSeaHawk Leak Detection Cable:So Good its Patented! What makes RLE Technologies patented SeaHawk Water Leak Detection Cable so special? Itsall in the mesh.

    An open problem

Spot-leak detectors are a good solution for conned areas such as drip pans. But thesedetectors fall short when organisations must deal with an open area in which uid is dicult topredict. RLEs cable detectors work with our distance read and zone detection panels to givecustomers the ability to encapsulate areas of concern while also serving as reliable solutions foropen oor plans.

False alarmsMany cable detection products suer from a tendency to raise false alarms. A sensing cablecontains two sensing wires; when liquid bridges the two wires, an alarm is set o. However, some products use a conductive polymer coating on the sensing wires; dirt or dust can build upon this coating, creating a false bridge and false alarms. Contact with metal or pressure on thecable can also set o alarms in some products.

A better solutionRLEs SeaHawk leak-detection cable uses a non-conductive polymer mesh that covers each of

the two sensing wires. Our unique, patented design requires a uid to penetrate the meshcovering each sensing wire to create a bridge between the two wires. This design virtuallyeliminates the possibility of false alarms caused by dirt, dust or contact with a metal object.

Furthermore, the cables durable, exible design helps to simplify installation and to eliminatethe possibility of false alarms caused by pressure on the cable.

Another benet: SeaHawk cables are designed to dry out quickly after an event.

Competitive sensing cables cover the entire cable with mesh, making the cable extremelydicult to dry. The SeaHawk leak-detection cable is quick to alarm when conductive uid

contacts the wires, but the cable can also be dried easily, allowing it to return to normalconditions without long delays.

Page 19Water Detector Cord Alarm Panels

LD300/LD1000 Single Zone Alarm Panels The LD300/LD1000 single zone water leak detection panelprovides the ability to detect and report the presence of waterand any conductive liquids along the length of the leak detectioncable up to 300 (LD300) or 1000 (LD1000) feet per zone.

In the event of water leak detection, the panel visibly

(LD300) or audibly (LD1000 ONLY) annunciates the leak.

If the sensing cable is cut, has a poor connection, or

continuity is lost, the panel will activate a cable fault LED

Fault & Alarm signals are changeover, voltage free for connection to BMS or EMS

LD1500/2100/5100 Distance Read Alarm PanelsThe most cost eective distance read leak detection panels aredesigned for simple integration into an existing monitoringsystem. The presence of any conductive uid is identied with

the distance to the leak. The distance to the leak can becommunicated via various protocols to alarm monitoring and/ornotication systems.

The distance to the leak can then be determined by crossreferencing the distance with a cable reference map installed adjacent to the panel.

The LD1500/2000/5100 system oers distance read technology with a web interface. The system has anHTML interface that allows users to view conditions and alter congurations with any web browser.

Simple System IntegrationThe LD1500/2100/5100 panels are integration friendly to interface in a simple, straightforward mannerwith existing Network Management Systems (NMS) via SNMP, as well as Building Management Systems(BMS) via Modbus or BACnet.

Scalability, Convenience and Reliability The LD1500 can accommodate a continuous run of up to 1500

    feet (457m) The LD2100 & LD5100up to 5000 feet (1524m) and is ideal

for leak detection in areas where the sensing cable may not bevisible. All panels can also identify any cable breaks ordisconnects.

In the event of a water leak, the cable can be wiped dry, allowing the panel to return to normal conditions in a matterof seconds.

Multiple LD1500s can connect to RTE Technologies LD2100and LD5100 master panel, allowing the LD2100 or LD5100 toidentify and annunciate multiple, simultaneous leaks.

Wall mounting enclosure accessoryLD-ENC is designed to be used with RLEs LD1500 & LD2100Distance Read Panels.

The enclosure simplies installation requiring conduit connections,

has a self contained power supply for the LD1500 & LD2100 panelsand is set for 240VAC.

ACAS Green Energy Technology design, manufacture and install containment solutions. Our

containment options can be designed and fabricated with or without the presence of a raised oor,

used in conjuncture with both in-row coolers and CRAC units, implemented & installed on all cabinets

    and can help you and your business achieve instant benets in regards to;

    Increased cooling capacity

Allows for accurate cooling requirement forecasting

Increased CRAC eciencies by allowing for higher return air temperature post installation due to

the reduction in dissipation between hot and cold airows

    Smaller Carbon footprint

    Heavy reductions in energy costs

Increased eciency and reduced maintenance costs

Prolong and extend the life of equipment by allowing them to operate at much more ecient and

    less taxing levels

    Lower chiller running costs

Cool much higher heat loads per rack with much less power draw.

Can dramatically reduce energy costs, minimize hotspots and improve the carbon footprint of data

    centres

Can be used with or without conventional raised oor cooling. It is easily retrotted into existing

raised oor data centres and works in tandem with the raised oor as well as with extreme density

cooling systems to produce highly ecient cooling solutions.

Up to 20-30% reduction in chiller costs

Consistently separates cold and warm areas without requiring structural changes to the data

centre. A cold aisle retro t can be implemented easily and quickly.

Aisle containment has 2 distinct advantages. First, it increases the cooling capacity and energy

eciency of the cooling unit and second, the increased capacity, together with the separation of

hot and cold air, makes it possible to cool higher heat loads per rack.

Cold Aisle Containment with internal cooling can cool more than 30kw per rack.

Page 24Cold/Hot Aisle ContainmentPost inspection by a qualied ACAS Green Energy Technology delegate, a containment solution will be

designed around your requirements. If you already occupy space within a data centre or

communications room, our solution can be seamlessly integrated and retro -tted on site. A qualied

ACAS Green Energy Technology installation specialist will seal o your aisles using clear Acrylic sheeting

    and treated aluminium extrusions.

Using Velcro, the fully assembled system is free oating and is also easy removal if needed. Each

component is free to thermally expand or contract at its own rate, eliminating waves or deections

and maintaining the structural properties of the material. This technical superiority is appreciated

through a wide range of quality installations throughout the world.

By choosing a ACAS Green Energy Technology containment solution, you are making a choice to only

cool a targeted area; rather than aimlessly pumping cold air (at your expense) into a general area

thus eventually and inevitably allowing it to dissipate and mix with the hot air generated at the rear of

    your cabinets

Cold aisle containment better addresses the task of separating hot and cold air while supplying cold airto the servers. CAC has a focused cooling approach and can be used with or without conventionalraised oor cooling.

The benets from a Cold Aisle Containment can be noticed within minutes not days. We can supplyboth sliding door/s and swinging doors that matches your requirements.
