The product line

dermofeel® products comprise a carefully chosen line of emulsifiers, functional

oils and antioxidants for cosmetic and dermatological applications. The well

balanced product profiles are tailored to meet as many requirements of modern

cosmetic concepts as possible. Functionality and technical performance are the

main focus for the development of the dermofeel® product line. Wherever

possible we choose raw materials from sustainable sources in order to comply

with this important trend for an increasing number of consumer products.


The product is made from high oleic sunflower oil, triglycerol and citric acid. The

origin of all components lies in renewable plant sources. The manufacturing

process uses environmentally friendly condensation reactions and does not

involve any kind of alkoxylated species. Consequently, dermofeel® easymuls is

PEG and PPG free. The anionic nature combined with its unique molecular

structure furnishes dermofeel® easymuls with many interesting cosmetic

properties. As a sole emulsifiers it forms in cold processes O/W-emulsions of a

viscosity as low as 500 mPas. The anionic character of the emulsifier supports its

adhesion on the skin leaving a detectable smooth film. These properties also

makes dermofeel® easymuls an optimal choice as a co-emulsifier which

optimizes the sensorial properties of a formulation without jeopardizing its texture.

Application

dermofeel® easymuls can be employed in various cosmetic products. For

handling convenience the viscosity has been adjusted by adding sunflower oil.

The raw material is fully soluble in the majority of oils. In a typical process the cold

oil phase can be emulsified into the cold or hot aqueous phase and homogenized

for 1-2 minutes. The addition of stabilizers to the aqueous phase is recommended.

A regular hot/hot process is of course also possible.

Cosmetic functions

Cold process O/W-emulsifier

Oil in water emulsions of low viscosity and rich skin feel are an ideal basis for e.g.

sprayable suncare concepts, caring wet wipe liquids or long lasting deodorant roll-

ons. dermofeel® easymuls provides an easy access to such formulations by an

energy saving low temperature process. Fully soluble in a variety of oils it can be

conveniently mixed into almost any oil phase. By this, sprayable and stable

products are obtained without any co-emulsifier. Just the addition of a small

amount of gelling agent to the aqueous phase is recommended. Interestingly, the

viscosity of the emulsions formed by dermofeel® easymuls are almost

independent of the volume of the oil phase. Sprayable emulsions with oil contents

up to 30% can be easily realized with dermofeel® easymuls.

Co emulsifier

As co-emulsifier dermofeel® easymuls is the perfect choice to optimize the

sensorial profile of the emulsion without jeopardizing the texture of the product.

Already at a concentration of 1 – 2% a sustainable film on the skin is formed

providing a long-lasting caring sensation.

An ideal partner for higher viscous O/W-emulsions is Glyceryl Stearate Citrate (e.g.

dermofeel® GSC).

Combinations of gel forming agents such as acrylates and carbomers and

dermofeel® easymuls lead to gel creams with a typical texture but with a

suprisingly sustainable skin feel.

Toxicology

dermofeel® easymuls does not contain genetically modified material, dioxine,

phthalates, BSE-related material or CMR-material.

Packing units

dermofeel® easymuls is available in 25 kg canisters.

Environmental Information

dermofeel® easymuls is produced in an environmentally and toxicologically

unobjectionable process using 100 % plant derived ingredients. dermofeel®

easymuls has not been tested on animals.

Handling and storage

Please store in the original container at room temperature in dry environment. In

closed original containers dermofeel® easymuls can be stored for at least 12

months. dermofeel® easymuls does not need to be preserved.
