In the area of “Puente de Sarajevo”, a screen of piles type CPI -8 was executed together with a slope that was needed to be stabilized with a green wall. More than 50.000 cars run daily along this avenue and they see our work together with the poster of WELCOME TO BARCELONA. BIMSA Welded Gabions, Macdrain & Macline — Muro de gaviones y revestimiento Date: 6/2015 2015 Products used - 800 m2 of gabions type Gaviarq for the lining.. - 600 m3 of welded gabions 50x100 –4,5 mesh. - 1200 m2 Macdrain W1051 draining geomat. - 800 m2 Macline SDH 150. Solution Gabions wall; H= 14,5 meters A typology in berms was chosen for the gabions wall. They would worked as planters, so that the mixture between steel/ stone/vegetation was very attractive, by using climbing plants. These planters were waterproofed with our Macline SDH 150 geomembrane. All the wall rearside was folded with Macdrain W1051 geomat, ensuring that way that it will worked in dry conditions. Screen piles lining Due to the irregularity of the screen piles surface it was decided to make a metallic structure attached to the same screen. This structure would act as a ventilated façade at the same time and it would serve to hang manually the gabions. Between the hanged gabions it exists a 5 centimetres separation that makes visible the structure emphasising even more the linearity and purity in the lines of the solution. A.
