Now,they are active in TOKYO, Japan.unclose have a stage act that rocks the world with vibrant resounding strings and a loud, deep explosive sound.

2012 : UNCLOSE was formed.April 2015 : Appeared on Radio AM1422 "ROCK RUSH RADIO." April 2015 : UNCLOSE Live performance included in DVD bundled with music magazine "WeROCK 046." May 2015 : Appeared in free magazine "Roxy Town." October 2015 : Appeared in free magazine "Roxy Town." December 2015 : unclose's very first single is released【群青-Gunjyo-】is available for free distribution at live houses in Japan only.June 2016 : 1st mini album [ao-no-uta] Release and 1st overseas performance for one of the biggest rock festival in Singapore [baybeats2016] which gathered many rave reviews from Singaporeans and music reviewers.

The band was formed in 2012 by Rei and Yu-Ra before Naoki joined them in 2013.

Since then they’ve performed all over Japan and in 2016 they embarked on their first overseas performance, performing in Singapore’s Wala Wala Bar & Cafe and Hood Cafe & Bar as well as being featured on Singapore music internet magazine, “Bandwagon”, ontheir YouTube channel “Bandwagon TV” .

They’ve performed all over Japan with many other Japanese bands as well as sharing the stage with many international acts as well, such as simon yong band (Singapore), The Erkonauts (US), RED NOVA (Sweden), Hentai Babies (UK) and many more. Apart fromperforming with other bands, they also collaborate with other artists in the wide spectrumof the art genre, such as painters and DJs.

With Rei’s emotional performance, Yu-Ra’s hard hitting style and Naoki’s energetic and electrifying performance, they move and pull the heart strings of audiences, creating songs about the dark side of life and the world as we know it now. They have received positive reviews from musicians of all genres and has sold out shows in Japan.

Rei started playing the bass during her high school years.

She launched the band by herself and appeared on the media including television programmes.

After the band’s split-up, she supported a large number of bands. Her prominent appearance was applauded by the band’s members and the audience, “She stands outconspicuously even though she is a supported member”.

She met Yu-Ra and formed unclose with him in 2012. Her style of playing landed ‘vocalsand bass’ from playing the bass only.

Most of the band performances are directed and created under her control.

Totally speechless with her perfomances that breaks down existing style of the vocals andher expressiveness a quasi like a theatrical play.

Delicate, gallant and fascinated perfomances…she receives a high appraisal here in Japanand from overseas.

She also had a music session with Brandon Khoo (Singapore) and her ability of expressions has been getting more strikingly abundant in recent years.

・naoki / guitarist

naoki started playing the guitar when he was in junior high school.

He moved to Tokyo entering an academy of music and he had his actions genuinely.

Besides playing in indie scene, he had some connections of major scene e.g., working as a roadie of Kill=slayd.

Formed the band with a roadie of GLAY and got an increase in the opportunities of being on music magazines and so on.

He also attended lectures given by Amano Takashi, the guitarist who is famous for supporting Carmen Maki.

He participated with a omnibus album in major field and had gigs of an instrumental band and different kinds of music scenes.

‘faceless crow’, even now widely-known in the mainstream musician, Usui ozma Takafumi (ex X-ray)’s band, naoki joined it, but resigned because of the musical difference. Andhe experienced in lots of major bands.

In 2013, naoki became the member of unclose. He’s skillful at technical performances with fierce expressing of feeling inside.

・Yu-Ra / drummer and songwriting

Yu-Ra started playing the guitar aged 9 and changed to playing the drums when he was 12.

He’d supported bands actively playing the bass, koto (Japanese harp), Shamisen, piano and singing aswell.

Also had provided lyrics, composed songs and arrangement for both major/indie scenes.

And more, it included a lot of fields such as a recording engineer, a scriptwriter, a radio personality and an event organizer.

He formed unclose with Rei in 2012. Since then, he retired those activities as the above mentioned and he’s forcused on unclose itself.

Been creating the whole world of unclose with writing, composing and arranging songs.

Although he wears mask whilst playing the drums on stage, there is no need to show his face up in his world of view which he’d like to make.
