Welcome

Dear Colleagues,

The 51st International TCM Kongress Rothenburg will take place from 19th–23rd May 2020. It is dedicated to the Earth School and to the subjects of gastroenterology and neurogastroenterology. Many of the lectures are related to the main theme of the conference. Participants have the opportunity to attend seminars, lectures and practical courses or workshops. We are proud that this year we have once again been able to attract many top-class national and international lecturers to the congress. They will provide you with new insights, share therapeutic experiences and provide multi-layered inspiration to all those involved.Let the congress programme inspire you and help organise your own personal course plan. As every year, there are many opportunities for in-depth interaction with lecturers and colleagues.

Highlights from the programme

The TCM Kongress Rothenburg’s 51st anniversary programme again offers a wide range of lectures, seminars and workshops. To make the selection easier for you, we would like to point out some special highlights here.

When we talk about the Earth, we can’t ignore nutrition. Moreover, it is also a subject that is always topical and of interest to many of our patients. Therefore, this year we have many lectures on dietetics, among others by Uwe Siedentopp, Peter Torssell and Ruth Rieckmann.

What are meridians? Can we prove their existence? Poney Chiang will let you feel the physical existence of the meridians in his workshop. He introduces us to his highly interesting work in the courses “Introduction to Channel Plucking and Neuro-modulatory Needle Technique” and “MRI Evidence Show Acupoints on the Scalp Map to Distinct Functional Areas on the Cerebral Cortex”.

Dan Bensky and his Engaging Vitality team honour us again at the TCM Kongress Rothenburg. Here you can learn to perceive Qi better and use it more specifically in your treatment. Due to the high demand there will be two different Engaging Vitality courses on three days.

We also have a number of other practical courses available for you, including Tuina and Qigong courses, Gua Sha, Pain Treatment, Japanese Acupuncture and Military Acupuncture. If we treat the Earth successfully, we can solve many other problems as well. It is therefore particularly important to gain a deep understanding of physiology and pathology. We have invited many renowned speakers for this and for the best treatment methods: from our partner, the famous Chengdu University of TCM, the professors Liang Chao, Jin Zhao and Jiang Yong, as well as Amy Wolf, Hui Zhang and Elisabeth Rochat de la Valée, to name just a few. I can warmly recommend each of these lectures to you.

This year, on Wednesday, you have the opportunity again to choose two different courses in the morning and afternoon. The presentations are self-contained in each case. In this way, we would like to make your choice a little easier and enable you to attend more lectures.

You can find more information with detailed lecture descriptions and a presentation of our speakers on our website www.tcm-kongress.de

Booking of courses

All courses for the TCM Kongress Rothenburg can be booked in advance, but this is not mandatory. You can continue to maintain flexibility and book a course at the congress. However, by reserving a place on a course beforehand you will take precedence if places are fully booked.

We would like to point out that there are limits on the numbers of participants for all courses. Therefore, we recommend registering for a course early.

Despite our best efforts, individual courses being fully booked cannot be ruled out.

Please note that there will be a re-booking fee of 15,00 Euro per course change.

Premises of the TCM Kongress Rothenburg

The events and courses of the 51st TCM Kongress Rothenburg take place, to a large extent, in the Wildbad, which with its Belle Époque architecture and location on the idyllic Tauber is at the heart of the TCM Kongress Rothenburg.

There are also some events in the Reichsstadthalle and the Hotel Eisenhut, located in the old town of Rothenburg.

The TCM Kongress Rothenburg now has a multi-purpose hall available within walking distance of the Wildbad, as well as the Reichsstadthalle. This allows us to offer practical courses with space for many treatment benches. Here we can provide an appropriate spatial framework for our practical courses.
