    INTERACTIVE HANDSETS - For some core modules in both year 1 and year 2 an interactive handsetis required to participate in problem sessions. Students are required to purchase a handset at the startof year 1 for a cost of approximately 35.

    LAB COATS - Students will generally be required to wear a lab coat for all Engineering laboratorysessions. Students may purchase a lab coat at the start of the year from the Student Support Office ata subsidised cost of 10.

    ProE In week 7 of the second semester students take a week long course in ProEngineer for whichthey are required to purchase a manual at a subsidised cost of 10.

    SAFETY BOOTS Students will be required to wear safety shoes or boots (that is to say with both toe cap and midsole protection conforming to European safety legislation) for some activities, and these must beprovided by the students themselves.
