“CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY DOES NOT END AT THE FACTORY GATE OR THE OFFICE DOOR. WE SHOULD LEAD OUR COMPANIES WITH OUR HEARTS AS MUCH AS OUR HEADS, AND WE SHOULD NOT FORGET THAT WHILE THE ENERGY RESOURCES ON EARTH ARE LIMITED, THOSE OF MAN ARE INFINITE IF HE FINDS THE MOTIVATION.”
Antoine Riboud, one of Danone’s founders, speaking in 1972.
HEALTHY FOOD STARTS WITH A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENTDanone has been leading thinking on social responsibility and sustainability for more than 40 years, long before it appeared on many other companies’ agendas. We take action to protect nature and promote better accessibility to good food and nutrition, wherever you are in the world.

OUR GRADUATE PROGRAMME
For my first rotation on the Graduate Scheme I’ve worked in Sales for Waters on the Tesco and Asda accounts. One of the biggest events of the year for Evian is Wimbledon as we sponsor the event. As a result we work hard to ensure we have a big store presence during Wimbledon through in- store activation. As part of my role I managed the field team relationship and coordinated the activity to ensure our products were everywhere in-store and within Wimbledon village. I also got the opportunity to go to Wimbledon with our customers which was an amazing experience!

As part of the Graduate Scheme, we were tasked with working on a community project. Our concept was to deliver workshops to local sixth form students on skills such as teamwork, leadership and commercial acumen, with the aim to inspire them in preparation for the working world. We successfully delivered these to 120 students in London and near Bath and, after setting a New Product Development challenge, a winning team was chosen to attend work experience in Danone HQ.

During my first few months with Danone, I was tasked with managing the operational coordination behind a launch of 3 new products. I was empowered to visit our factories in Europe to discuss the project timeline and develop strong working relationships with my contacts. I was responsible for managing different functions and ensuring the products were delivered to retailers within time and budget constraints.

YOUR
INDUCTION
You'll be introduced to the wider world of Danone at your residential induction week
where you'll learn about our mission, what it's like to be a Danoner, and about our business units. As part of this you'll meet a range of people across our UK business units, and in teams, you'll be taking on a number of
challenges including a group presentation to some of our managers and directors. Once in role you'll also experience inductions relevant
to your assigned business unit.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Together with your manager you'll create a bespoke personal development plan
in your first week, tailoring your learning experiences to your behavioural and
functional needs. You'll own your personal development plan ongoing and you will evolve it as you progress with the help of your manager and other people in your
Danone support network. In year two you will tailor your behavioural and functional learning experiences to your new role and build on your strengths and experiences in
year one. Continuing to own and evolve your personal development plan will be one of
the most important elements to enable your successful progression at Danone.
CHARITY/ COMMUNITY CHALLENGE
Work with your graduate colleagues on a set project, managing every element
from securing budget to engaging senior stakeholders.
COACHING
You'll be offered the opportunity to be coached by one of our Danone business
coaches to support your successful transition from year one to year two, and to help you think about your future path with Danone.
SELF AWARENESS & PERSONAL IMPACT
Your learning journey at Danone starts with self awareness. Like everyone at Danone you'll receive an Insights profile to help
you build working relationships through a better understanding of the behavioural preferences of yourself and others. You'll
also start to focus on developing your personal impact from day one, to enable you to make great first impressions and to learn to engage stakeholders though storytelling.
FUNCTIONAL/SPECIALIST SKILLSOn-the-job learning of the systems and
processes required in your role.
BUILDING A NETWORK
Building connections across the UK business units is an important part of our graduate scheme. In year one you'll have
a buddy and in the second year of the scheme you'll be invited to networking
events where you'll get to meet a variety of senior stakeholders across all of our
business units.
INSPIRING YOUR PERSONAL GROWTH AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IS PART OF OUR DNAGRADUATE LEARNING PROGRAMME Your career goals and development are kept on track using your Performance Development Review and Individual Development Plan. What this means to you will vary according to your role and aspirations, but you will benefit from a mixture of formal training activities, on the job training, e-learning and coaching.
