Progressive designs an end to end messaging solution for India's biggest PSU in gas transmission and marketing. One of the largest gas transmission companies in India, headquartered in North India wanted to have a Disaster Recovery Site to add redundancy to its existing IT infrastructure and maintain business continuity in case of a breakdown. The petro-gas giant wanted to have a disaster recovery solution with a secured & robust system for transmitting digital information. Progressive came up with a solution that constitutes of high availability & security of information. The entire solution provided the end-to-end resolution for all their needs. Progressive's solution consists of setting up a Disaster Recovery Site, which recovers all the existing operation from the Primary Datacenter – maintaining business continuity. The disaster recovery site will keep on replicating itself on real time basis with all the necessary information required to keep in sync with the primary site. So when in case the rollover occurs, the DR site should be capable of providing the exact replica of the actual environment. The operation consists of financial transactions, user's mailbox with Exchange 2007 with more than 4000 users. The Exchange Mailbox Database with CCR will be replicated in the Disaster Recovery Site using the Exchange 2007 Standby Cluster Replication (SCR). With the help of this Exchange Mailbox will be replicated to DR site in real time from Standby node, which will take care of any site disaster issue. The PSU chose to go with this solution as it was convinced of Progressive's technical expertise. As far as progressive was concerned, it was a very prestigious project as it involved one of India’s biggest PSUs. Proficient Implementation Partner

The implementing & configuring part involved a few challenging tasks like - Configure Exchange 2007 Hub transport server and client access server on the servers in NLB at DR site for High-availability purposes. Also, Configure two Exchange 2007 mailbox server configured in Standby Cluster Replication at DR site for each CCR cluster at primary datacenter.

It also includes Recovering Microsoft Windows by running Windows Setup, restoring a Windows backup set, and then running Exchange 2007 in Disaster Recovery mode to retain Exchange configuration
