V-Australia Client Project

CLIENT SITUATION (1)

V-Australia decided to expand their business by converting an unused warehouse into a Student Training Facility. The

warehouse is located approximately 150 meters from their Head Office.

Before this expansion project could go ahead however, the Directors imposed a number of rules and requirements to

insure that V-Australia would maintain it’s profitability and avoid any additional overheads.

The requirements were as follows:

· All internet, email, VoIP and other ICT required at the new Student Training Facility were to be drawn from the Head Office · Access to the network at the new site will be delivered by Wireless LAN · The WLAN must use the latest Wi-Fi standards & security and have at least five

fixed / wired LAN connection points as a backup to the WLAN.Equipment & Technical Support for this Project Provided by

An Access Point or Router, such as the TP-LINK TL-WA601G or TL-WA642G, that can be configured to

work in Bridge Mode, can wirelessly extend the existing network from the Head Office to the new

Training Facility Building. In order to fine tune the data-link between the two locations, a

directional antenna, such as the TP-LINK TL-ANT2414A is used on each bridge, pointing towards each other.
