PROJECT MANAGEMENT COURSE COURSE SUMMARY This course teaches the fundamental principles of good project management (i.e., project management wisdom), and the effective tools, methods, and techniques in this field. Delegates will learn how to identify and schedule project resources, create project flow charts, and produce critical path planning and evaluation reports. This workshop provides an introduction to the essentials of project management. It is based on the well-proven and widely recognized Project Management Body of Knowledge (6th Edition, 2017) from the Project Management Institute. Important issues of staff selection and team management are also covered. These learning objectives shall be reinforced by a course that allows delegates to apply the principles and use the tools on familiar projects. Delegates shall be provided with case studies describing recognizable project management problems and their solutions. Computerized Project Management, including project documentation and tracking using MS Project and other tools, shall also be covered. International methodologies for project management (e.g., PRINCE2) will be compared and contrasted to give candidates a broad view of state-of-the-art in this field. Some of the big projects he has managed include the IEC Elections Results Publishing System, Brandbook Business intelligence Solution (RSA tech start-up), the Lesotho Revenue Authority Declaration and Cashiering System, and Old Age Pension Payroll for Lesotho. He later completed his Doctorate in the field of Knowledge Management at the University of Pretoria.
