The students will focus on various activities that will introduce them to basic traditional skills in: • Programming • Drawing (traditional and digital) 3D environments Instant challenges (Destination Imagination http:// www.destinationimagination.org ) Project STEAM MD begins when the students are dismissed from their classroom at 3:40 and come to the Art room (rm 106). Students will get 30 -40 minutes to complete their homework. Please understand that all homework may not be completed within the allotted time frame. We begin STEAM rotations after homework and snacks. Students must be pick up at the kindergarten entrance by 6pm. School Closing/Inclement Weather!We follow Baltimore County Public School Schedule. When the school closes for inclement weather, Project STEAM MD will close also.!

The World of Tomorrow!This year's theme is "The World of Tomorrow". We will introduce and continue to develop skills in programming, traditional/ digital art, photography, drawing, traditional/ digital sculpture. Students will have the opportunity to explore 3D printing and design their own apps. We will compete in Destination Imagination http://www.destinationimagination.org/. More information about Destination Imagination will come soon.!

Programs and Partners!During the course of the year the students will learn to solve problems using traditional and digital media. We are proud to have sponsors such as Cinema 4d. !

Scratch is an incredibly versatile software that eliminates syntax errors. It is a visual programming language that can be used to study music, graphic design computer science and interactive media. !

Blender is a powerful 3D software that can be used for 3D design, engineering, movies, games and much more. !

The Kumon Center in Owings Mills has been a wonderful partner to Project STEAM MD. The valuable resources and information the center provided has been beneficial to the students and the mission of Project STEAM. !
