  • All physical and mechanical values are averages based on standard production and tested according to internal procedures. The typical values are given for guidance. The figures can change dependent on the test methods used. If a particular value is of prime importance for a specification, please consult Promat Technical Department.

Quality AssurancePromat products are manufactured to stringent quality control systems to assure that our customers receive materials made to the highest standards.

Operating to these standards means that all activities, which have a bearing upon quality, are set out in written procedures.

Systematic and thorough checks are made on all materials and their usage. Test equipment is subjected to regular checks and is referred back to national standards.

The information given in this data sheet is based on actual tests and is believed to be typical of the product. No guarantee of results is implied however, since conditions of use are beyond our control.

Packaging• Standard PE bucket – 20kg• Pallet – 500Kg• Special packaging with different weights available depending on final applica-

    tion.

Storage• Can be stored 12 months in its original packaging, at a temperature range of +5

to +35°C. • The product is not frost resistant.• Non-flammable product

IntroductionWater-based one-pack coating, with a pasty consistence, aimed at condensa-tion control by moisture absorption and release cycles, depending on climatic conditions of the area concerned.

It can be either spread or sprayed by appropriate spray guns, directly onto pre-painted steel, galvanised steel and aluminium, previously treated by Tyrox primer. It is mainly used to prevent mois-ture dripping in metal deckhouses (due to night / day temperature range) where there are cyclic moisture conditions.

Once dried, the film is slightly elastic and adheres to supporting structures.

    Advantages• Excellent thermal, anti-condensa-

tion & damping properties• Flexible & elastic• Easy to install

    Application• Anti-drumming & anti-condensa-

    tion barriers

  • Support preparationThe support must be prepared as detailed below.

    • On surfaces that have been treated with anti-corrosive protection, it is recommended to remove any oil, grease or any othercontaminants that could be present.

    • On new surfaces, or mixed surfaces, remove any external contaminants, such as mill scale, paint residues or other coatings.• Promat®-VERMAPOR does not have anti-corrosive properties; it is therefore recommended to use a suitable first coat,

primer or corrosion protection, depending on the surface that must be treated.

Processing• The product is generally sprayed. Manual application by brush or spatula is more difficult and suitable only for small sur-

faces.• For spray application, it is suggested to use a stem pump or a Goodyear pump, with a nozzle having a minimum 4mm

diameter.• Tools must be cleaned immediately after use, by water.• The product is ready-to-use; nevertheless, in particular situations, a maximum dilution of 5-8% with clean water is possible.

FinishingPromat®-VERMAPOR must not be treated with any type of protective or decorative paint, because this would negatively affect its anti-condensation function.
