About Kids’ Food Basket

A local organization in greater Grand Rapids dedicated to attacking childhood hunger. They provide Sack Suppers to more than 4,800 kids every day during the school year, plus hundreds more at local sites in the summer. They serve kids directly by distributing within classrooms or at local parks, meaning every child who needs a meal can get one easily and safely. Teachers from participating schools give out Sack Suppers in their classroom at the end of the day. KFB serve schools that have a student population in which 80% or more of students live at or below the poverty line.
