MeiYueSocial Networking App

MeiYue is a free social networking app with a consolidation of box office listings and pricings that aim to provide a platform for urban youths in China who wish meet and date each other for movies.

My role in the project was to plan out outlines and functions for several features, such as registration, friend requesting, chatting, membership pricings and perks, etc. My working method was to first anticipate and simulate user behaviors with customers’ perspective in mind and then design and code for their convenience. Therefore, my team and I were able to make a smooth and easy user interface that appeal to more users, generating more customer cohesiveness in the process, and attract more users in the long run.

The whole registration process consists only

three steps and two pages, with only cellphone

Due to the existing structure and concept of the unrevised website, I based my revising project on grounds of the need and behaviors of potential visitors and made the following revisions:

1. Added “WFCC Web Page Survey” module on the “Contact Us” page

2. Added a five-picture banner rotation replacing the original single picture display

The website

The WFCC is a Multidisciplinary Commission of the International Union of Biological Sciences (IUBS) and a Federation within the International Union of Microbiological Societies (IUMS). The WFCC is concerned with the collection, authentication, maintenance and distribution of cultures of microorganisms and cultured cells. Its aim is to promote and support the establishment of culture collections and related services, to provide liaison and set up an information network between the collections and their users, to organise workshops and conferences, publications and newsletters and work to ensure the long term perpetuation of important collections.

社交类手机app

美约是一款免费的社交类手机app，主要面向如今生活在中国大城市的青年男女。生活节奏加快、工作压力大、固定的社交圈等原因都是加速广大单身贵族数量的原因。一个人生活、没有太多交际、甚至连一个可以和自己一起看电影的人都找不到…

而美约这款app即将成为单身贵族的新宠。只要登录美约，就可以免费找到一个志趣相投的Ta一起携手走进影院。

约会，从看一场电影开始。

美约，从此不再一个人看电影~

在整个app的策划中，我参与了其中一些功能的设定与完善。

在充分体验并分析了用户的行为后，站在用户的角度上，设定并更新了一些原有的功能，力争让整个app操作起来更简便、易用。

具体包括：

1） 注册流程的简化

2） 在收到的约会信息中添加了“修改”功能

3） 对话窗口中，由原来的付费查看改为了免费聊天

1）注册流程的简化

原来的注册流程设定为：

① 获取用户的手机号码 ② 让用户填写验证码 ③ 设置密码 ④ 选择性别

⑤ 让用户填写学历、身高、地区、择偶标准等基本信息 ⑥ 完成注册

修改后的注册流程设定为：

① 获取用户的手机号码 ② 让用户填写验证码 ③ 设置密码 ④ 选择性别

⑤ 完成注册

调整动机：

在充分研究了用户的注册行为习惯后，省去了让用户填写个人基本信息的步骤，以防止用户因为注册步骤太繁琐而中途放弃，最终造成用户的丢失。

2）在收到的约会信息中添加了“修改”功能

原来的”我收到的约会“信息如下：

① 某人向我发起电影约会信息 ② 我收到某人的约会邀约

③ ”同意“或“拒绝”Ta的邀约 ④ 约会成功或失败

④ 等待对方回应、约会成功或失败

调整动机：

添加了“修改”之后，可以让受邀者在收到约会信息后，不再因为对约会影片、约会时间、具体影院问题而拒绝对方，无形中增加了约会的成功率和app的可用性。

2）对话窗口中，由原来的付费查看改为了免费聊天

原来的”对话“窗口如下：

即：和其它用户聊天时，必需先为对方支付20个金币，对方才能看到“我”发送过去的具体聊天信息。未支付前，聊天内容文字只有部分显示。

即：只要符合条件后，用户之间可以免费聊天。

调整动机：

站在用户的角度体验后，深深地觉得用户之间可以免费聊天这项功能，对用户的吸引力更大，也希望更多的免费功能可以提升用户对此款app的使用粘合度。

在整个网站的设计制作中，我确定了整个网站的颜色、布局，并参与了其中一些功能的设定与完善。
