Meet The Team

Scott Pickett , President and CEO, is partnered with Principals William Shelby and Steven Heiser as the leadership team for this commercial real estate services company. These professionals lead a team who do not try to be the biggest -but the best!

Our team is dedicated to providing our clients with exceptional service for long term relationship development. The proven track record of success combined with the excitement of repositioning spectacular assets will result in a level of commitment and attention unavailable through any other commercial real estate services company.

Scott Pickett – With more than 15 years of landlord representation experience that includes a successful history and relationship with Ownership, Mr. Pickett has focused on creating value for his owner-clients. He accomplishes this by strategically repositioning non-traditional and/or underutilized assets and by successfully establishing a niche for newer properties in the Columbus office market. He has spearheaded leasing at buildings and served many national clients.

William Shelby – Mr. Shelby has focused on marketing downtown Columbus office properties on behalf of their respective owners. He has coordinated leasing efforts at several significant downtown Columbus buildings including 100 East Broad Street, 88 East Broad Street, 17 S. High, 65 E. State, 175 S. Third, 180 E. Broad , LeVeck Tower, Huntington Building, and Ohio Police and Fireman’s Fund.

Steven Heiser, J.D., M.A. – Mr. Heiser has specialized in Real Estate Investments while offering a wealth of experience in the industry from a broker and owner’s perspective. Steve is experienced and knowledgeable in all aspects of commercial real estate including, but not limited to: sales and leasing, residential/commercial mixed-use development, property management, mortgage brokerage, and multi-family property management.

Buyer/Seller Representation

It is important to know as much as possible about the property you are buying.  One way to do that is to gather around you a great team: real estate broker, attorney, accountant, inspection contractors, lenders, insurance agent.  Even if you do not have significant experience in buying commercial real estate, if you have an experienced team surrounding you, they can make sure you understand all of the issues that might arise from buying this particular property.  With their information, you can then make a reasoned, rational, and confident decision.  As you buy more property, then your experience, along with the input from your team, will lead to better and more confident buying decisions. 

Buyer RepresentationBuying commercial real estate is not an instantaneous transaction. Buyers should make sure that when they contract to buy a property; the contract contains adequate time (usually 30 to 180 days, depending upon the property) for them to do all necessary mechanical, electrical, structural, and environmental inspections and to review any available maintenance logs.  The Buyer should also have sufficient time and access to data to review any financial information that would be relevant to the decision to buy the property.   Without sufficient time, the Buyer may not really know what he or she is buying which could lead to major challenges at a later date.
