Canopy - UpdateO August: noticed a rip, called company for
evaluation, received contract - all within a few days the week before school started
O First bid was for full replacement at $8200.00 (no warranty coverage)
O Challenged "act of god" warranty and they came down to $6200.00 saying contract was prorated
O Challenged again (we have had not high winds) and they came down to covering the fabric but install is $4200.00
Canopy - updateO Spoke with, Jay - Sr. VP of sales he says they only
cover install if the material is "defective" and they say it's not
O September 22nd – 4th proposal lowering install to $3500.00.
O Contessa has been working with an attorney (at no charge) he sent a certified letter challenging the install expense
O In the event we get nothing from this letter, the general membership voted and approved spending $3500.00 to cover expense of the install. Found out install is covered!!! Delivery to be announced
Field TripsO PTA BudgetsO $8.00 per student x 650 students =
$5200.00
O Board recommends adjusting the budget to include $5500.00 budget for Field Trips – general membership voted and approved to adjust the 2014-2015 budget to include the expense of Field Trips
Pay it ForwardO December 1st – 11th, 2015: PIF nominations will be
accepted O PTA Board will select four (4) charities to be presented
to the students for a vote. The top 4 charities will be informed by December 12th.
O January 5th: PIF Video due – Top four charities give a brief video presentation to student body
O January 7th: PIF Ballots go home in Wednesday folders – all ballots due January 9th
O Winning Charity will be informed January 13th. O January 20th – 30th: Pay it Forward School Wide
Campaign (winning charity video will be played in classrooms)
