3. Active break detection and consideration when calculating the ETA
If no information about rest driving times are delivered PTV Drive&Arrive recognizes breaks with a complete new algorithm for trips with more than 4,5h driving time. If a break is detected the ETA calculation is suspended until the end of the break and does not trigger any notifications to subscribed stakeholder/integrators.

Once subscribed to an ETA our notification services automatically inform all stakeholders with an ETA update – even over heterogeneous systems.

• Traffic jams or other unexpected impacts cause deviations from strategically planned routes
• Changed predictions of arrival-times at the customer or unloading point are hardly shared among supply chain stakeholders.

• As a result, congestion and long waiting times at the ramps as well as (rest-time) delays and contractual penalties are a daily occurrence.

• PTV Drive&Arrive is a service with a public API which can be integrated into your technical environment. The RESTful JSON API can be used in all common programming languages and the integration is described in a detailed documentation. An easy testing with own data can be done by addressing the PTV Drive&Arrive API, the Drive&Arrive Portal and the corresponding Drive&Arrive App without registration.
