1. ISLOs 1-5 College Core: During Assessment Week, faculty will discuss the following issues relative to ISLOs 1-5: 1) Is the COMP- XM the appropriate assessment tool to use? Are there other tools more appropriate to the Lynn University students and curriculum? If the COMP-XM is retained, are the fixed-value performance targets reasonable, or should we change to a continuous improvement model and look to improve the scores by 5 percentage points each year? 2) Is it necessary and appropriate to bring Capsim personnel to Lynn University for training and how best to teach the Capstone simulation? 3) Should there be more accounting and finance coverage in the College Core? 4) What strategies can be developed in BUS 460 and the College Core to provide students with the knowledge to understand the importance of the contextual environment? 5) What strategies can faculty use to provide students with a better understanding of how business analytical tools should be applied to make informed decisions? 6) What strategies can faculty use to provide students with a better understanding of how to identify their strengths and use the strengths to deliver value to a business? 7) What strategies can faculty use to provide students with a better understanding of how cultural factors can impact the effectiveness of business operations? And 8) What strategies need to be considered for online classes, which performed at a lower level than did the on ground classes?

Proposed Courses of Action for Improvement in Learning Outcomes for which Performance Targets Were Not Met:
ISLOs 1-5 –MBA Core: 7g. Students will be able to justify concepts, theories and practices associated with their specialization in Marketing to demonstrate competency for entry level employment or advanced study in the field.
1. During Assessment Week, faculty will discuss the following issues relative to ISLOs 1-5: Is the COMP-XM the appropriate assessment tool to use? Are there other tools more appropriate to the Lynn University students and curriculum? If the COMP-XM is retained, are the fixed-value performance targets reasonable, or should we change to a continuous improvement model and look to improve the scores by 5 percentage points each year? 2) Is it necessary and appropriate to bring Capsim personnel to Lynn University for training and how best to teach the Capstone simulation? 3) Should there be more of a focus on how the concepts in the MBA Core courses are critical to the decision making necessary for a successful organization? 4) What strategies can be developed in MBA 690 and the MBA Core to provide students with the knowledge to understand the importance of the contextual environment? 5) What strategies can faculty use to provide students with a better understanding of how business analytical tools should be applied to make informed decisions? 6) What strategies can faculty use to provide students with a better understanding of how to identify their strengths and use the strengths to deliver value to a business? And 7) What strategies can faculty use to provide students with a better understanding of how cultural factors can impact the effectiveness of business operations?
2. ISLO 7a – Aviation Management: There are four line items in the rubric for MBA 678. In the first two, the target was met; however, the target was not met for “Analyze the management process for various aviation organizations” (39%) and “Demonstrate proficient business writing and communication skills” (66%). The Aviation Management faculty who teach this course will increase coverage of the management process for aviation organizations, as well as develop case studies, which will provide the necessary components for doing an analysis. As faculty members of the College of Business and Management meet to discuss the results of these assessment measures, strategies for developing proficient writing skills will be a topic for the whole body of the faculty during Assessment Week. At a minimum, students will be recommended to make use of Grammarly and the Writing Lab.
3. ISLO 7b – Entrepreneurial Management: There are six line items in the rubric for MBA 653. The target was met in three of the six; however, not met for: “Specify the target customer demographics, price, place, promotion, advertising and distribution channels for the proposed business opportunity.” (66%), Identify resources, physical facilities, and logistics for the execution of the proposed business model.” (55%), and “Analyze both the initial and ongoing financing and financial management of the proposed business.” (33%). Entrepreneurship faculty should develop additional lecture time for concepts in marketing, operations, and financial management, as it relates to this project. Faculty should also develop a case study for each of the three

topics. These case studies would be discussed by the class as a whole.
4. ISLO 7c – Financial Valuation and Investment Management: There are six line items in the rubric for MBA 649. The target was met in four of the six; however, not met for: “Demonstrate economic environmental and industrial analysis for the proposed company.” (75%), and “Demonstrate professional business writing and communication skills.” (75%). The faculty who teach this course should develop a case study for the students to discuss economic and industry analysis when doing a company analysis. As faculty members of the College of Business and Management meet to discuss the results of these assessment measures, strategies for developing proficient writing skills will be a topic for the whole body of the faculty during Assessment Week. At a minimum, students will be recommended to make use of Grammarly and the Writing Lab.
5. ISLO 7f – International Business Management: There are eight line items in the rubric for MBA 665. The target was met in four of the eight; however, not met for: “For your proposed business, project the present value of return on investment.” (56%), “For your proposed business, implement international means of financing and identify euro-currency, euro-credit, or euro-bond market for financing the proposed investment.” (66%), “Discuss operations including suppliers and distribution channels, and marketing of the proposed business in the foreign country.” (78%), and, “Analyze exchange rate risk exposures (transactions, economic and translation exposure) for the proposed business. Identify currency instruments to cover exchange risk exposures (currency forward contracts, futures, and options).” (65%). It appears that the faculty who teach International Financial Markets should develop materials and exercises that more fully explain discounted cash flows, financial instruments available for financing international operations, and currency exchange issues.
6. ISLO 7j – Sports Management: There are five line items in the rubric for SAM 635. The target was not met in any of the five line items; “Develop a reflective narrative that integrates and applies the fundamentals of sport business in a global context.” (78%), “Evaluate the organizational impact to the chosen sport properties, and apply conclusions to managerial decision-making in Sports Management.” (78%), “Analyze ethical issues that impact sport business decisions from economic, political, legal, and social perspectives.” (78%), “Demonstrate proficient business wring skills with well- substantiated argument and proper citation of evidence.” (66%), and “Identify key legal issues affecting the sports industry.” (78%). In all line items but the proficient writing line item, the performance was just under the target. Faculty could likely spend more time in discussing the parameters of the assignment. For the proficient writing line item, faculty members of the College of Business and Management will discuss during Assessment Week strategies for developing proficient writing skills. At a minimum, students will be recommended to make use of Grammarly and the Writing Lab.
