About the WorkshopEvery day we will face a variety of situations where communication comes into play. Presenting an idea? Delivering a briefing? Selling a product or service? Or just to get a message through. But at the same time, how many times you have spoken off-the-cuff and then later wished you’d said something else?
Developing and honing public speaking skill will give you the confidence you need, the edge you value, in a variety of areas,
both personally and professionally.
Having conquered the fear of public speaking was your first step. In the current highly competitive economic times, effective communication skills are even more important. In this course, you will learn the more advanced public speaking theories and techniques,
which will give you the advantage you need.
The trainer is a national public speaking champion, experienced trainer and highly sought after presenter. He holds various public offices and is himself a frequent speaker at International conferences, seminars, lectures, workshops and in front of the media. Through a highly interactive training course, you will become a more sophisticated speaker in a variety of situations, both prepared and unprepared.

Certificates will be awarded to participants who are able to fulfill all the course requirements which include: Attending all sessions AND Completing all assignments with satisfactory performance.
Intended Learning Outcome
Upon completion of the programme, participants should be able to:
1. Analyze and synthesise information in order to express their ideas in an effective
manner.
2. Identify and apply various presentation and public speaking techniques in order to
increase presentation persuasiveness and attentiveness.
3. Define key factors which affect overall public speaking performance.
4. Deliver effective and confident presentations.

Students should complete and submit the Online Application Form on the website:
http://hkage.org.hk/en/sz_programmes.html on or before 28 Feb 2013. Late
application will not be considered.
The application result will be announced via email to the student members by
1 March 2013. Please check the messages in the spam/junk mail if you cannot
receive the result announcement email. Those who have not received the email by
the specified date should contact the HKAGE by phone.
Successful applicants should complete the “Confirmation Slip” attached to the result
announcement email and fax/mail it to the HKAGE on or before 5 March 2013.
