Report on AVOPA HOSTEL DAY FUNCTIONAV O PA H o s t e l D a y w a s celebrated on 26th Jan,2017 at Raghavendra Party Hall annex of our Hostel premises. Sri T. Srinivas and Sri R. Nanda Kumar donors of AVOPA Charitable Trust Hostel, were the chief guests. Since the Hostel Day was to coincide with the republic day, National Anthem was played and the audience stood in silence in respect to our great nation. Sri Rajendra Prasad welcomed the guests and the audience and also presented a brief report on the occasion. Both the guests were felicitated. Sri T. K. Thimmaraja Setty, Vice-President of AVOPA Charitable Trust in his felicitation address recalled the service rendered by Sri T. Srinivas to the society at large and Vysya Community in particular praised the lead taken by him for donations to AVOPA. He praised him for his donation of Rs. 3 Lakhs to the Hostel fund in addition to Rs.30,000/-

already paid by him. Sri R. Nanda Kumar also donated a sum of Rs. 3 Lakhs to the fund. Sri R. Nanda Kumar known for his discipline, hard work and a c t i v e p a r t i n V y s y a organizations gave few tips to the students in his address. Both the guests wished the students a bright future. Few students spoke about their experience in the Hostel and

assured that they will study hard and come up to the expectation of all the donors and AVOPA. Sri Anjan Setty, President of AVOPA & AVOPA Charitable Trust presided over the meeting and thanked all the donors. On the said occasion, all the donors who donated to the hostel fund were felicitated. It was a very happy occasion as Smt. & Sri B. Venkateswarulu donated a sum of Rs. 5 Lakhs to the Scholarship fund. AVOPA expressed its thanks to them and felicitated. Sri B. Naresh Babu proposed vote of thanks.

Dr. A Vishnu Bharath a renowned Chartered Accountant gave an Analytical lecture on CENTRAL BUDGET ANALYSIS 2017-2018 at AVOPA office on 12th Feb,2017. The lecture was lucid and informative. He answered all the queries raised by the participants. The meeting was well attended. Sri Anjan Setty, President of AVOPA & AVOPA Charitable Trust presided over the meeting and felicitated Dr. A. Vishnu Bharath on the occasion.

Report on Monthly lecture Programme on CENTRALBUDGET ANALYSIS 2017-2018

In the Monthly Lecture Programme held on 12th March 2017, Sri Naresh Babu, Gen. Secretary of AVOPA gave the lecture and demonstration on the subject CASH LESS OR LESS CASH?. He mentored 40-50 members on how easily one can use mobile app and support cash less transactions initiated by the Honorable Prime Minister of INDIA .Most of the participants attended the programme installed the BHIM app and followed the demo of cash transactions and felt very easy to adapt. Sri Naresh Babu gave all the clarifications to the queries raised in the meeting. The meeting was a very interactive & informative session to the satisfaction of all the members present. Dr. Naganandhini, Vice President of AVOPA presided over the program.

Sri Cotha S.Srinivas has been elected as the chairman of Southeren India Regional Council of Chartered Accountants for the year 2017-18.

CA. Cotha S. Srinivas was Chairman of Southern India Chartered Accountants Students Association (SICASA) Bangalore branch for the year 2002-03. Apart from other programs, he conducted Regional Students conference “YUKTHI”. In his tenure Bangalore Branch received the best branch award for the activities of SICASA from SIRC.

CA. Cotha S. Srinivas has served as Treasurer, Secretary and Vice Chairman of Bangalore Branch of SIRC of ICAI. During the year 2009-10 he served the branch as its Chairman.

Bangalore Branch is the largest branch in India. As a Brand Building exercise, he introduced the concept of Bag for all students attending IPCC Orientation at Bangalore Branch which is still continued and over 10,000 students have benefited. Lot of Infrastructure developments were undertaken during the year. Study Circle meetings were conducted at Bangalore South apart from conducting the same two days a week at branch premises. Weekly workshop concepts were introduced. Mega conferences like “SANGAMA” and “VYVIDYAMAYA” were conducted. During this year the branch was adjudged the best branch of SIRC.
