MOE Kindergarten @ Punggol Green

• Host school for MOE kindergarten

• One big family for joint projects and celebrations

• Enriched learning experiences for both our students and the kindergarten children

• Kindergarten curriculum hours: 8.00 a.m. to 12 noon, 1.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

• Kindergarten before : 7.00 a.m. to 6.50 p.m.& after school care

Curriculum Hours

Students may be involved in after-school activities such

as CCAs, remedial and enrichment programmes.

Consent forms will be issued to inform parents of such

arrangements (if any).

P1 Induction Programme• 3-day programme (4th, 5th and 6th January 2016)

• Series of class bonding activities to help ease students

into the new school environment

• Assisted by PSG members and volunteers from MJC

• Series of parents’ workshops to provide parents with an

overview of some of the school’s curriculum and key

programmes

(*No meals will be provided for parents during the

workshops)

P1 Induction Programme• Parents are allowed to be present outside the cordoned

off area at the canteen during recess only on the first 3 days of school

• P1 recess time

– 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. (during first 3 days of school)

- 9.35 a.m. to 10.05 a.m. (on a typical school day)

P1 Induction Programme• Ensure that child wears his/her lanyard during the first

week of school, till the iron-on name tags are issued.

• Refer to checklist given to pack required items for the

first 3 days of school accordingly

• Label all belongings with child’s name and class

• Trolley bags are STRONGLY discouraged

Safety and Security• Vehicles are only allowed in the school for morning

drop-off

• Vehicles are not allowed to enter the school premises during dismissal

• All visitors are to sign in at the guard post and obtain a pass to enter the school

• No parents will be allowed to go the classrooms or student activity areas

• All P1 and P2 students are to be picked up by parent/authorized adult

Safety and Security• Early dismissals:

Parents/authorized adult is to first report to the

General Office to state reason for early dismissal

Wait at the General Office for the child to be

brought down

Parents/authorized adult to sign child out for early

dismissal

Safety and Security (General well-being)Share medical conditions (if any) of the child with

the school

Obtain a copy of doctor’s report to be submitted to Form Teacher (if applicable)

If child falls ill in school, parents will be notified via phone (*Important to keep Form Teacher updated on any changes in contact information)

Ensure that your sick child rests at home for the full duration of the MC and recovers fully before returning to school

Canteen Management• 4 stalls

(Malay rice, Malay noodles, Western, Chinese food)

• Prices typically $1 for a portion of rice/noodles

• Ample water coolers found in canteen and throughout

the school – Use of water bottles is STRONGLY

encouraged
