• Please note: Any hotel or motel listed in the premium list is subject to Event Committee Rules. • Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent/Show Secretary will be responsibleorobligatedtofurnishanyservicefornotifyingexhibitorsortheiragentsofBreedorClassJudging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings.

• Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs.

• LOSS OR DAMAGE – The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs andexhibitors,butwillnotberesponsiblefor,orassumeanyliabilityintheeventofanyaccidentormisfortune, toeitherdogsorexhibitorsparticipating in theseShows.ThewelfareofanExhibitor’schildisassumedtobetheresponsibilityoftheExhibitor.ItisdistinctlyunderstoodthatExhibitorswillexercisecontrolandrestraintovertheirchildren.

All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. The Club is not responsible for the actions or products of the commercial vendors at this show.

AFTER THIS TIME, YOU MUST CONTACT THE SUPERINTENDENT ON SITE.CONFORMATION: Dogs may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed or Variety competition, provided this transfer is presented to the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of any regular conformation judging at the show.BEGINNER PUPPY 4-6 MONTHS: Refund for published judge change must be made to the Superintedent at least one-half hour prior to the start of all Beginner Puppy Competition.JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP: Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition, if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open, after closing of entries for a show are required to transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class by notifying the Superintendent at least one-half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship juding at the show. Correction may be made from one age division to another, provided this transfer must be made to the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the judging of any Junior Showmanship class at the show.OBEDIENCE OR RALLY: A transfer (i.e., from an obedience class to an obedience class; or a rally class toarallyclass)mayberequestedif,accordingtotheowner’srecordsthehandleranddogareeligibleprovided the club offers transfers. Transfers from an “A” to “B” class at the same level are allowed provided the host club allows transfers. The request for a transfer must be in writing and presented to thesuperintendentat least30minutesprior to thestartofeach trial. Transfersmaybeapprovedprovided the class and judge are available, and the class has not reached its limit.

ATTENTION – SHOW GROUND RULES• Gray water cannot be dumped or dripped on the ground. The appropriate sewer hookup or dump

station should be used for depositing all gray (and black) water. Security will enforce the “no dumping” rule. There is a $500.00 fine for all/any infractions of this policy.

• An EMT will be on Show Grounds Each Day• THE GROUNDS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SET-UP OF GROOMING EQUIPMENT FROM 11:00AM until

7:00 PM on Friday, January 12.• CONTROL OF THE GROOMING AND CRATING AREAS WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE

GROUNDS CHAIRMAN. No roping off or saving of grooming areas. Show Committee reserves the right to rearrange crates etc., in the non-reserved grooming area in order to make more room. GroomingequipmentleftindaygroomingareaafterBestinShowwillbeconfiscated.

• Grooming and Crating area aisles must remain open at all times.• NoGroomingorexercisepens,Cockerpens,ToypensorcanopiesareallowedintheShowBuildings.

Crates are only allowed in the show building during showing of your breed and must be removed immediatelyafter.Violatorswillbefined$25.00peroccurrence.

• Grounds will be open at 6:00 AM Sat. through Mon., and close two (2) hours after Best in Show each day. All buildings must be vacated two hours after Best in Show on Monday. Reserved Overnight Parking available until 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday.

• TherewillbenoparkingontheFairgrounds.Violatorswillbetowedattheowners’riskandexpense.• Loss or Damage - The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, butwill not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident ormisfortune,toeitherdogsorexhibitorsparticipatingintheseShows.ThewelfareofanExhibitor’schildisassumedtobetheresponsibilityoftheExhibitor/Parent.ItisdistinctlyunderstoodthatexhibitorswillexercisecontrolandrestraintovertheirchildrenonthedayoftheshowsOR THE EXHIBITOR/PARENT WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE SHOW PREMISES.

• Theonlyfreshwateravailableonthegroundswillbeintherestrooms.Exhibitorsareresponsibleforthe water required for the safety and comfort of their dogs. No bathing of dogs on the show grounds.

• ExhibitorsandHandlerswillbeheldresponsibleforcleanconditionsinandaroundtheirgroomingarea, parking area and hotel room.

• Exhibitors will be responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. X-pens will be provided outside.Exhibitorsandhandlersmustpickupfecalmatterdepositedbytheirdogsonthegrounds,streets,sidewalks and parking lots.

• Speed limit within the Fairgrounds is 5MPH. AnyoneexceedingthisspeedlimitwillbesubjecttoanEvent Show Hearing, and/or escorted off the grounds immediately.

• If it is necessary to rescue a dog from a parked vehicle on the show grounds or in the parking areas, the club will not be responsible or liable for any damage to the vehicle involved. Animals left invehicleswillbemonitoredbyCountyControlOfficersandClubMembers.Ifanimalsareindistressdue to heat or any other circumstances, the vehicle will be forcibly entered, the animal recovered and the owner cited.

• ALL ELECTRICAL DEVICES WHICH CREATE MULTIPLE OUTLETS MUST BE UL APPROVED AND INCORPORATE A SEPARATE CIRCUIT BREAKER WITHIN THE DEVICE. Allelectricalcordsonfloormustbetaped.

• No Smoking will be allowed or tolerated in any building on the Show Site. Offenders of the rule shall besubjecttoafinenottoexceed$50.00,andintheeventofcontinuedabuse,shallbeaskedtoleavethe show premises.

• TROPHIES –Trophiesandprizeswillbeawardedinthejudgingringstothepersonexhibitingthedog,who will be considered to be the owner or agent of the owner. All claims for trophies and other prizes must be made in the judging ring before the completion of the judging of the breed, and the Show Chairmen advised at once in the event of any discrepancy. No Award will be mailed. The Clubs reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

THESE RULES WILL BE ENFORCED BY THE SHOW COMMITTEE. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITHTHESE RULES WILL RESULT IN CHARGES BEING BROUGHT BEFORE THE SHOW COMMITTEE.


OBEDIENCE AND RALLY EXHIBITORS, PLEASE NOTEInanefforttoaccommodatemoreexhibitorsandalsoallowfornightlyfloorcleaninginthePavilion,the

following rules for the placement of crates are implemented:1) There will be no crating allowed between the doors (under the windows) leading to the stairs.2) If crates are left in the Pavilion overnight, all cloth and metal crates that can fold, must be folded and

placedagainstthewall(alongwithanyotherpersonalgear)beforetheexhibitorleavesthebuildingfortheday.Hardcratesmustalsobeplacedagainstthewall.Themainareaofthefloormustbeclearso that it can be swept nightly.

3) During the hours of the Trials, crates in use will be arranged in rows, with aisles kept clear so that people and dogs can easily move through the area. This will meet a requirement issued by the Fire Marshall. The Obedience Chairs will gladly assist in the placement of crates.

PEE WEE CLASS SPECIAL ATTRACTION SATURDAY, JANUARY 13 – NO ENTRY FEE – ENTRY LIMIT: 15

The Pee Wee Special Attraction is a pre-Junior Showmanship class. The Pee Wee class is geared toward children 5–9 years of age. Safety is a primary concern.

Each Pee Wee unit consists of the child, his/her parent/guardian/responsible adult, and the dog. Only one Pee Wee unit is in the ring at a time. This is not a competitive class, but rather afun,learningexperienceforthechildandtheadult.

• A dog must be at least four months of age to enter the Pee Wee class.

• Bitches in season will not be allowed to participate. If pre-entered, a dog may be substitutedthatmeetstheeligibilityrequirementsasspecifiedbytheclub.

• All dogs entered must have the proper lead and collar.

• A responsible adult must be present with the child both inside and outside the ring. The adult is to maintain control of the dog outside of the ring.

The safety of both the dogs and Juniors inside and outside the ring is a primary concern. Outside of the ring, the dog is to be controlled by the adult accompanying the child. An additionallead,providedbytheClub,willbeattheJudge’stable.AttheJudge’sdiscretionbased upon the size of the child and the dog, for safety purposes the adult may be asked to attach a second lead to the dog so both child and adult will walk the dog together.

REGISTRATION WILL BE TAKEN AT THE CLUB TABLE SATURDAY MORNING, STARTING AT 9:00AM. EACH ENTRANT WILL BE REQUIRED TO FILL OUT AN ENTRY FORM. IN ADDITION TO AN ENTRY, A RELEASEMUST BE SIGNED BY THE CHILD’S PARENT ORLEGAL GUARDIAN. JUDGING WILL BE HELD DURING THE LUNCH BREAK. NO ENTRY FEE.

PeeWee Entries are open to All Breeds, including Miscellaneous and FSS Breeds, and All-Ameri-can Dogs listed in the AKC Canine Partners Program.

At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on the ground or on a ramp through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging: Lagotto Romagnolo, American Water Spaniels, Clumber Spaniels, English Springer Spaniels, Field Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels,Cirnecodell’Etnas,AmericanStaffordshireTerriers,IrishTerriers,KerryBlueTerriers,SoftCoated Wheaten Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Finnish Spitz, Keeshonden, Finnish Lapphunds, Norwegian Buhunds, Polish Lowland Sheepdogs, Spanish Water Dogs, and Norrbottenspets (Misc.).

At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging, the following breeds may be judged on the ground, a ramp, or on a table: Boykin Spaniels and Whippets.

The following breeds must be judged on a ramp through all levels of conformation competition: SussexSpaniels,BassetHounds,Bulldogs,ChineseShar-PeiandChowChows.ThisextendstoallconformationcompetitionatAKCconformationdogshowsandanyAKCeventwherea conformation title may be earned. This policy includes Group, BIS, Junior Showmanship, the 4–6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition, the AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS), and all other specialattractionsthatofferGroupandBIScompetitions. Rampscanbeusedinemergencysituationto judge any breed.

Inanemergencysituation,whereuseofarampisnotindicatedinthepremiumlist,anexhibitorhastheoptionofwithdrawingtheirentryandreceivingarefund. Forthejudgingofjuniorstherampmay be used at the discretion of the judge for the ramp optional breeds. (10/2017)

AKC NATIONAL OWNER-HANDLED SERIESThe purpose of the AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS) is to recognize and showcase the quality dogsbeing exhibitedbyowner/handlers and toprovide a venue for theowner/handlers to competeagainst their peers. The determination of the awards in the AKC National Owner-Handled Series is based solelyonthequalityoftheentry.Theowner/handler’shandlingabilityisnotofconsideration.• Dog must be marked as eligible to compete in the AKC NOHS prior to the closing of entries. There is no additional fee to enter this competition.• Dogs must be handled by an eligible owner/handler for the AKC NOHS throughout the breed level (all classes, Winners, and Best of Breed) competition. Additionally, dogs must be handled by an eligible owner/handlerforallAKCNationalOwner-HandledSeriescompetition(GroupandBestinShow).
