Coefficient of linear expansion : 5.5 x 10-5 per C

Operating temperature : -50 C to 600 C (minimum & maximum temperature)

Vicat Softening Point : 810 C

Thermal Conductivity : 0.19W/m/k

Longitudinal Reversion : Less 5% (tested at 1500 C)

Chemical Resistance : Excellent resistance to minaral acids, alkalines & deretgents, alcohols.

But liable to attack from solvents as ketones,aromatics & hydrocarbons.

Mechanical Properties : AS per BS EN 61386-1-2008

Dielecrtic Strength : 40KV/mm in DBP

Resistivity : 1014 Ohm cm

Flame Propergation : Flame retardant & self extinguishing (BS EN 61386-1 :2008)

Spread of fire ( Flame Retardant) test –BS 61386-1:2008

EMPRO electrical conduits are tested according to the BS EN 61386-1:2008 (13.1.3.2.1) to evaluate

their flame retardant property and confirmed by Sri Lanka Industrial Technology Institute

(Test report No. SS1504413 - copy annexed) that samples tested are resistant to flame propagation

and self extinguishing.

Accordingly, there are three types of conduits under the classification numbers of 2, 3 & 4 respectively
