Course Pre-Requisites• No formal pre-requisites• Basic maths and English required• Industry experience preferred• 18+ years of age

Units of Competency• PMBWELD301B, 302B & 309B• Identify materials being used in the

installation as compatible for welding• Calculating apprpriate welding parameters

to be used and compatibility• Maintaining and calibrating welding/fusion

equipment• Performing welding to required standard• Assess quality of welded/fused completed

joints

Assessment• Theoretical written assessment-multiple

choice and short answer.• Practical assessment-perform sample welds

as a group and with individual elements

Successful Completion• Statement of Attainment• Welder Card• Welding stamp for butt welding course• Confident, employable PE welder

Polyweld Tech Academy will always endeavour to schedule a time and location that is convenient for all parties involved.

If a client requests training on a site other than the Polyweld Tech Academy training facilities and cancels, the client may incur a fee for any unrecoverable costs to PWT. e.g. cancelled flights or accommodation cancellation charges.

What Facilities will be available?• Lunch is provided when courses are held at 110 Kelvin Road• Tea, coffee & hot chocolate provided• Service station 2 min walk

What will and will not be supplied?• It is an OHS requirement to wear steel cap safety shoes,

long sleeve shirts and long pants. You will not be permitted on site without these.

• Gloves, hi-vis, safety glasses and all other PPE will be supplied.

• All stationery, equipment and materials used in the course will be supplied.

We complete all testing from our head office in Perth with our fully equipped NATA accredited laboratory and experienced technicians.

Polyweld Tech aims to establish sites throughout Australia and develop a state of the art portable laboratory that will provide faster, more convenient results.
