Artists in Residence

A number of fabulous artists will be in residence at Pyramid this Fall. Sarah McDermott: During Sarah's residency, she plans to make large, narrative, comic-inspired print and book environments for a manuscript by Joanna Ruocco entitled The Bog-Hole and the Beldame. This project will continue her explorations in the interactions between experimental writing and book objects. Emma Steinkraus: While with us at Pyramid, Emma plans on making books that pair drawn and printed images of individuals and couples with images of objects and landscapes that become metaphors for their internal lives. Maggie Gourlay: Maggie's residency will involve the creating of a series of screenprints on small panels that explore the interaction of threads and a mundane household items. She plans on creating wall-size grid composed of panels, or a line of panels that surround the room. Inga & Andy Hamilton: Inga (a.k.a. Rockpoolcandy) and Andy (a.k.a. mytarpit) are an interpid artist couple hailing from Northern Ireland. These two artists are back at Pyramid to continue their adventures with paper sculpture and printmaking. Image Credit: source
