First Step – Choose a Destination
1. Create your "big picture" of what you want to do with your career and identify the large-scale goals that you want to achieve.
2. Break these down into the smaller and smaller targets that you must hit to reach your career goals.

3. Identify your company’s objectives in providing current and future services.
4. Clarify your specific contract requirements. What areas do you need to grow in order to fulfill your tasks on the contract?
Remember the priorities:Contract requirements > company objectives > personal goals
Second Step – Identify the Waypoints
Consider including these elements in your professional development roadmap:
• Classroom and online courses
• Conferences and workshops
• Formal and informal learning opportunities on the job

STEP Educational Curriculum
