What we need to know: Basic typesetting and layout is included in our prices. Logos, require a professionally printed, color separated image. In high resolution, on photograph quality paper. BMP and JPEG’s with an original design resolution of 600 dpi or higher in most cases are useable. Charges to convert these into vector art will be priced individually. We prefer art work that is already vectorized and we can accept files in Corel Draw (CDR), Adobe Illustrator 8 (AI), Encapsulated Post Script (EPS), or as an Adobe PDF, in a PC format, however, conversion fees may apply depending on the format sent. Should a specific letter font be required, the name of the font is needed. However, if we do not have this font in our library, a copy from your computer font library will be required.

Faxes, copies, business cards, photographs, and web images are not useable, but for illustration only. Designs which require more than one rework and resubmission, or is extraordinarily complex, will require an additional design / setup fee which we will quote on a case-by-case basis. ACI stocks primary colors in silkscreen inks and adhesive vinyl’s. Custom or PMS ( Pantone Matching System ) colors may require an additional charge. Please include an actual sample of the color for reference as not all colors can be matched exactly, we will match a color as closely as possible. Color blends and or gradient fills are not reproducible with our production methods.

06 Magnetic Signs

Magnetic signs are specifically designed with a mag netic backing to be mounted to a metal surface.

These signs are easily applied to any surface that a standard magnet would stick to.

Magnetic signs are rubber coated magnetic material which is ideal for removable signs, decals, or other markings used on metal surfaces such as vehicles. These signs can be as much as 24” in one direction and virtually unlimited in the second direction. Vinyl letters and graphics are the standard for very small quantities having a simple design. Larger quantities and/or greater complexity of design are usually silk-screened.

Pressure sensitive, computer cut vinyl letters and numbers are the perfect medium for messages on windows, directories, signs, vehicles, or any other smooth non-permeable surface. We send your legend to you, properly spaced and aligned for application, along with application instructions. Standard letter heights for computer-cut legends range from 1” to 10” without a seam. Letter heights greater than 10” will be quoted upon request. If font is not specified, we produce your legend in Helvetica. Legends can be cut in a wide variety of premium 3M vinyls and colors as well as in promotional grade vinyls. Custom color matching, which requires screen-printing, is also available at an additional charge. Non-reflective legends can be produced either forward cut for surface application or reverse cut for application to the inside of windows or glass doors.

Street name signs in a variety of styles, sizes and colors are available to match existing community standards. Normally, street name signs are .080 aluminum substrate, reflective and double sided without holes, and copy is upper and lower case in white on green background. These 24 guage steel signs are a quality product, yet offered at an economical price. They come with a double sided, white, baked enamel finish for lasting durability. These signs are available in any size up to 24” x 36”. Vinyl letters and graphics are the standard for very small quantities. Larger quantities are usually silk-screened. They are perfect for mounting on doors, fences and walls or hanging on stands and frame systems.

ACI has a full line of Braille and raised-letter signs to accommodate your building. ACI recognizes that people differ in size, age and ability, and our product designs embrace thesedifferences. Our design method meets the need of all our customers. ADA signs are available in many color combinations and in a number of standard sizes.

Please note: ADA recommends a 70% color contrast factor in all engraved signs: for example, a red sign with white letters is considered high contrast and is preferred over a less contrasting color combination such as a white sign with beige letters. Also, ADA says that the raised-lettering must be at least 5/8” to meet the standard.
