Curriculum Vitae

Alain Robert Viddeleer was born on January 11th, 1970 in Voorburg (Z-H).He was raised together with his brother in Leidschendam and Leiden.

He attended high school in Leiden, Christelijk Lyceum Dr. W.A. Visser ’tHooft, where he graduated in 1988. In the same year he started to studyMedicine at Leiden University. In 1992 he also started to study Medical In-formatics at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and graduated in 1995. In1997 he obtained his medical degree.

After graduation, he worked for two years as a resident at the Departmentof Cardiothoracic Surgery at Leiden University Medical Center. In 1999 hestarted working as a resident in Rotterdam, at the Department of Plasticand Reconstructive and Hand Surgery at the ErasmusMC University MedicalCenter and later at the Department of Surgery at the Sint Franciscus Gasthuis,also in Rotterdam.

In August 2007 he started working at the Department of Radiology of theUniversity Medical Center Groningen in Groningen, first in a research posi-tion and later, in April 2008, he started his radiology training. In April 2013he was registered as a Radiologist and since works as a staff member at theDepartment of Radiology of the University Medical Center Groningen. He ismember of the Musculoskeletal and Mamma radiology sections of the Radio-logical Society of the Netherlands (NVvR), the European Society of Radiologyand the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR).
