SECOND QUARTER 2014 QUARTERLY RESULTS REPORT For more information, please visit the RAEDC at NEW BUSINESS & EXPANSION/RETENTION ANNOUNCEMENTS 2ND QUARTER HIGHLIGHTS All World Machinery Supply, Inc. is investing $3.6 Million in Roscoe which will create 58 new jobs. Excel Gear, Inc. is investing $1.5 Million in Roscoe which will create 10 new jobs. FedEx is investing $20 Million in a new facility to expand operations and improve efficiency creating 50 new jobs. Meijer in investing another $20 Million in Rockford creating another 250 jobs. Packaging Coordinators, Inc. is investing another $8 Million in to their Rockford facility creating an additional 25 jobs. Rockford Park District is investing $37.5 Million locally and creating an additional 210 jobs. Slidematic is investing $4 Million to expand capacity in their Rockford facility which will create 30 new jobs. Business Attraction Team responded to a total of 6 new leads The RAEDC and regional partners managed 6 Business Attraction client visits and 3 familiarization tours 24 supplier development opportunities were posted to the Rockford Area Aerospace Cluster LinkedIn group Exhibited and facilitated participation of 8 Rockford Area companies in the RAAN booth at the Maintenance Repair & Operations (MRO) trade show in Las Vegas Hosted 2 webinars on European Supply Chain for RAAN members Prepared for the 2014 Farnborough International Air Show and National Business Aviation Association Convention & Exhibition with 7 local companies Hosted Lidköping delegation for bi-lateral discussion on education, health care and international projects Hosted delegation of Korean waste water treatment companies at Fehr Graham Hosted the 7th Annual Go Global Conference and International Trade Show, which yielded record-breaking attendance and exhibition with 234 attendees, 130 companies, 7 states and 8 countries Congratulations to the following companies on their recent announcements: This chart reflects projects currently underway which have not yet closed: The Rockford MSA's primary and secondary jobs total was flat in the second quarter of 2014. Based on a 12-month rolling average, the number of non-farm jobs as of May 2014 is 147,200, which is the same total as the 2013 annual average. Sectors increasing the most in this time frame: Other Services (Up 2.3%); Professional and Business Services (up 2 %); and Financial Activities (up 1.9%). The Rockford MSA's average annual number of employed for 2014 through May is 144,750, up .07% from the annual average for all of 2013, and up 1.3% from the first five months of 2013 alone. EMERGING OPPORTUNITIES FUNDThe RAEDC Leadership Council met in April and Quarterly Reports were given for the current projects funded through the Emerging Opportunities Fund: The 2012 High School Redesign, the 2013 Advancing Teaching & Learning -Building Business Partnership and the Design & Production of Markerspace Lab and Partner Network.

2014 Academy Expo is scheduled for September 16th and is currently looking for organizations to host a booth as well as needing more volunteer ambassadors for the event.
