    HIMIG HANDOG QUARTET COMPETITION 2014

    A one musical performance of four (4) different voice ranges in a concert format competed by various singingambassadors of the country.

    OFFICIAL GUIDELINES OF THE COMPETITION:

    1. Date of the competition - March 4, 20142. Venue of the Competition - CAP Auditorium, Tagum City, Philippines.3. Categories - Open competition.4. Requirements for Participation

    a. 4.1Only four (4) singers, either male or female or mixed.b. 4.216 years old and above.c. 4.3At least two (2) instrumentalists for accompaniment.d. 4.4Competing groups shall render two songs of any genre and languagee. 4.5All groups are required to submit their entry form with the name of the official

    accompanist.

    5. Time Limit of Presentation5.1Maximum performance time is ten (10) minutes including entrance and exit.5.2A deduction of two (2) points in excess of every minute or fraction of a minute.

    6. Criteria for Judging6.1Tonal Quality (flexibility of voice, intonation & range) 40%6.2Harmony (blending & balance, phrasing) 30%6.3 Mastery (dynamics, technique, interpretation) 20%6.4Deportment (general appearance, discipline & uniform) 10%6.5Total 100%

    7. Prizes at Stake TBA8. A set of judges shall be assigned by the Execom. These Official Judges are well known for their

    achievement and stature in the field of music and performing arts preferably coming from outside ofDavao Region or have gained a National Stature. Their decision shall base on the results of thecompetition and shall be final and irrevocable.

    9. Deadline for the submission of entries shall be on January 31, 2014. Online registration can bemade through wwww.musikahansatagum.com or interested participants can download applicationforms from www.musikahansatagum.com and send it to Musikahan sa Tagum secretariat bysurface mail or email ([email protected])or hand carry the filled up forms to the CityTourism Office at Beach Volleydrome, Rotary Park, Pioneer Avenue, Tagum City.

    10.Official briefing shall be on February 3, 2014 at 2:00PM at the Rotary Park Gym, Tagum City,Philippines.
